And all I put was my PSN & steam username. What's bad about that?
Check underneath the text box:

"Please refrain from including any of the following information in your profile comment:
- Address, telephone number, e-mail address, or any other information that could identify you personally
- Any information (such as a user name or ID) related to an outside service
- Links to external websites that could be used to contact you directly
- Any other content prohibited by the Miiverse Code of Conduct"

In summary: If you want to be a happy 3rd world inhabitant do these:

- Spend all your money in other countries wallets
- Make a Canadian NNID
- Still don't know if you would have to open a new Club Nintendo account (why don't you use the Club Nintendo Account as a master account fucking Nintendo?)

or:

- DO NOTHING and give up the free content and demos (which would be very painful since Nintendo releases like 50 demos a week, NOT)

So I can not log into the store. I bought a $50 e-shop card this morning, and have been trying all fucking day to download something. Fucking nintendo.

Even other online usernames are more info than Nintendo is ok with you communicating.

The pedophile thing with swapnote has justified nintendo's militant privacy stance in their eyes. This shit's never going away...

Might not be the right place for this but since the update the Club Nintendo website has also updated their rewards. It seems the Free Games now expire Dec 9...which was yesterday, but as of now are still redeemable. For those wanting to get A Link to the Past for 150 coins to take advantage of the cheaper upgrade to WiiU(as opposed to buying it full price) when it releases better get on it now before they go down.

I've seen plenty of people mentioning their YouTube account or even their own team forum/website with full URL. Miiverse moderation is nonsense.

They need to add a Dead or Alive miiverse. Photomode was made for it.

This brings to mind two things:

1). Is there such a thing as PG-13 Miiverse communities? Has a game even been released on the Wii U that's had considerably risque content? There's certain games you simply can't expect to have totally family friendly communities. Does Nintendo seem to mind?

2). Now that Miiverse is on the 3DS, I wonder how future games will integrate it? Or if we'll ever see things like WW HD's bottles, 3D World's stickers, etc.

Is it just me or does the 3DS come out of sleep mode a little slower post update?

Anyway, at least at first blush, the update looks pretty good to me (albeit the Miiverse is pretty slow to load).

The Ninja Gaiden 3 community was full of boobs and blood (both screens and drawings) last time I saw it. I don't know if it's still like that, but I think what kind of stuff you can post depends on the game.

Well not much in terms of risque content but there are several communities for games like ZombiU and RE:Revelations w/ gore filled screens.

Edit: Well there is Art Academy, plenty of risque drawings there thats for sure. Mods seem to be more lenient w/ that community compared to similar posts in others. Surprising considering how "detailed" things can get.

There's Wii U communities for M rated games obviously and there's likely parental control settings for that. I'm sure they know what to expect when Bayonetta 2 comes out.

Also I agree on the further integration, hopefully future 3DS titles take advantage of it.

If I get my internet working, I'll be doing this when I get home!

Although honestly I don't think it'll change how I game. I never use Miiverse on Wii U.

really? lol. Those are 10 times more personal than a steamid. I wonder if it's luck of the draw or if they are actually supposed to aggresively moderate game network ids.

Now that the eshop accounts are unified, if you purchase stuff on 3ds will those purchases be eligible for Nintendo premium discount on Wii U ?

So screenshots. Do they work offline? Impressions here make it sound like you have to hit home, boot up Miiverse, make a post. Seems a bit bad on a system you are likely to play away from Internet access (or if there is access you might not have the connection details saved in the 3 slots) then again how else can you stop people taking screenshots of Pokemon (WTF GF) or the 3DS camera?

Lack of Pokemon Support and a pitiful amount of communities at launch mean I'll hold back from making an NNID (I don't think I need to change countries in the future but I'm not for volunteering myself to more region locking).

It doesn't. Your friend list stays the same, it doesn't carry over any of your NNID friends.

Ah ok thanks, can you contact or interact with your current FC/3DS friends via MiiVerse with this update, Since the SwapNote service was removed i have no way of communicating with all my 3DS friends :(

So if I have a Canadian 3DS and a European Wii U I'm guessing linking Nintendo ID:s doesn't work? I saw the part where it says that you will lose the currency that's not the same as the Nintendo ID one.

I haven't updated it yet, but I'm curious. Can I add people to my friends list by using their NID instead of their friend codes?

The update mentions an offline mode, but I haven't tried it.

Okay guys, I need a quick answer to this. I read how you can't change shops once you make a nintendo ID. I'm going through the process of creating a Nintendo ID now and the following message is showing up:

You can only create or link a Nintendo Network ID with country settings corresponding to your current region settings on this system.

Does it mean for instance, I won't have problems using the British eShop if I might live there in the future, since the country is in the same region as the one I'm currently living in?

Or does it really mean that I'm locked with the Dutch store for good?

I've never switched accounts before really, but this will create problems if I live in the UK or a different EU country.

Nope, unfortunately you can only follow them on Miiverse. You can't accept friend requests either if someone sends you one from Wii U.

You can "post" while you're offline, then it will upload when you next get online.

Considering the evolution and constant updates of the Wii U -Miiverse i expect the 3DS Version to be enhanced a lot in the coming months. Babysteps..
I'm sure Miiverse will continue to evolve in the future. It will probably become a staple for all future Nintendo platforms.
