Cradle was there at launch in Japan
Will be available in a charger bundle for EU on Aug 24, don't know about AUS
No word on a release in NA
Aus and NZ get the charger with the console, but I hope they release the cradle here separately.

I saw PayPal on their site.Well, thanks you, boss!
Idiot:
huh, credit card only?....i guess i'll wait.
The 3d effect in nsmb2 isn't that pronounced apparently.Ran into a Nintendo rep who had an XL and NSMB2 on hand. I gotta say, the 3D broke so much due to the large screen that I'm holding off for good. NSMB2 did look fine in 2D though, so I'm looking forward to picking that up.
Any XL sales numbers yet?
didn't do well for the Europe launch but performed really well in Japan, don't remember the numbers
We only know UK's numbers for Europe though right?
I thought the DOF backgrounds looked pretty sweet. It was the system itself that made the 3D a pain. The 3d effect in nsmb2 isn't that pronounced apparently.
I don't think it'll scratch out of the box, chances are very small. You could put bigger bumpers instead of the standard ones already there (which I agree are a bit too small) but even then I doubt it'll scratch easySo the 3DS XL doesn't ship with a protective sheet between the screens? How widespread is this scratching issue upon receiving a brand new 3DS XL? I am now properly terrified to open my 3DS XL box come Aug. 19th.

NoIs $25.89 worth it for the cradle?
But how else am I gonna have a cradle on launch? Playasia is the only NA site I can find. Ugh.
As a Nintendo fan I feel like the US is being treated like crap. :/Nope. The system comes with an AC adapter but no cradle. The cradle isn't even out in Europe yet and it hasn't shown up on any US websites so who knows if it will be available on the 19th. I think it's out in Japan though.
That makes me feel a bit better. I've read a lot of crap in this thread about "yellow tint" "garbage speakers" and "screen rape" so I'm worried about all these possible defects screwing me over. Not many retailers accept returns on hardware now and instead force you to use the warranty through the manufacturer which sucks because of the 10 day turn around. I really hope my XL ends up ok...

So once again how much do we have to pay for the XL when we trade in our 3DS?
I think Nintendo will sell it for $14.99 over here. With tax in Toronto that's about $18. I grabbed one from play Asia because I love having a cradle and we have no idea when it's releasing here.Is $25.89 worth it for the cradle?
I guess I'm just gonna buy it. I really want one. I did see it on game.co.uk for about 8.70. I read you can buy from there if your in the states. Only problem is its only up for preorder.I think Nintendo will sell it for $14.99 over here. With tax in Toronto that's about $18. The site says 1 week before shipping but mine shipped in about 4 hours. I think it will take a couple of weeks to get here.
So do we know if Amazon will ever sell the 3DS XL? (directly I mean not by third party seller on their marketplace)
to those that have it, xl3ds 3d is def' easier on the eyes than the original 3ds?

The famous illusive "Chopper Purse" in brown. I'm a fan of brown leather, just something very classy looking about it.

It is for me. Playing zelda on it is like a whole new experience from the 3ds. I could never go back.
The stylus and games are completely secure. I was initially concerned that the elastic might put pressure on the screens, but after some testing, I really don't think that's the case. It's not strong enough to damage the screens, but plenty strong enough to secure your DS. And it looks pretty good. Perhaps others here can give you a second opinion.Regarding the Chopper Purse: really, why is it so awesome?
It looks of good quality, but seems to not be that protective, and perhaps too tight of a squeeze for the system? Especially with all the screen scratching talk, that worries me. Also, there's just that elastic strap holding in your pens and games? No worries there? Is it just the form factor you like?
It's ok if y'all just want a pretty colored purse, just let me know hy it's so great as a handheld case.
