Digital Foundry is now worse than a tabloid rag with this bullshit. It all started at the beginning of the generation with the ”synthetic“ benchmarks using computers with benchmarks of the Series X/PS5 well before specs were established, trying to make judgement calls that were out to lunch.

Their downfall started when they caught the “we need to grow our channel at any cost“ bug, well the cost was their reputation, the one thing they had that differentiated them from the rest of the tubers doing the same shit.

DF is dead.

Comparison of several cross gen games showing Series S is really pulling away compared to their previous video vs One X.

Pretty remarkable for a machine that has been £199 or lower during the Xmas period. A solid choice and even more so now the cross gen period is ending.

As if winning against last gen makes it any good, lol. It's only a confirmation of it being a "crossgen" console to say the least.

Internet isn’t slow anymore. You can delete and change games pretty quickly.
Gotta admit though, I wouldnt mind to buy a series s if it had a bigger size.

Games are becoming bigger, and its still an annoyance to having to download new games all the time.

And the price of extra ssd space is just not worth it.

Series S + ssd external drive costs the same as a series x that has the same amount of ssd space.

TFLOPS irrelevant here. The difference makers are:

1- CPU clock
2- GPU architecture
3- Storage, I/O
4- RAM
I'd put VRAM above storage and I'd replace CPU clock with CPU architecture. There is a world of difference between Jaguar CPU cores and Zen 2 CPU cores. A simple clock difference doesn't even begin to describe the differences. I doubt that most games even push the CPU on Series S to its maximum clock speeds.
