Genuine question, do you actually like video games? You post (complain) a lot, but I certainly can't recall you ever stating you like anything.Sucker Punch is a joke. Couldn't be bothered to enhance the underlying game design and systems AND cheaped out on visuals with 5 years of dev time. Losing to fucking Ubisoft. My lord.
No shit, Horizon FW is 3 years old and crossgen and it beats the snot out of Yotei in every visual aspect.
and anyone can look good with the right angle/enough instagram filters, and anyone can look bad with the right angle. It's true what they say: average chicks can look real cute when put next to an uggo.
"I am Danjin 44, and I'm here to ask you a question.I choose Onimusha instead.
From tech perspective it might not be as high tech them? (I dont know I'm no tech expert) but I MUCH prefer Onimusha's art direction over these two games.
Maybe because I like how dark and moody Onimusha is compare to GoY and AC Shadows.

"Do you even like video games??"Genuine question, do you actually like video games? You post (complain) a lot, but I certainly can't recall you ever stating you like anything.
A swimming samurai doesn't make much sense either. It's something completely dispensable, something you only see in these kinds of videos.Man the water looks terrible, like two generations behind. It sucks
Sir, Sucker Punch has ~160 employees, Guerilla Games 385 and Ubisoft Quebec around 600, with many more studios of Ubi who worked on the game as well.Sucker Punch is a joke. Replacing shadow maps with RT Shadows, SSR with RT Reflections and expanding RTGI (to NPCs for example) for sure would make game look better but it would still be in the same ballpark.
Game looks last gen vs. titles that have much better textures, models, number of NPCs, lighting etc.
This is one of many towns in AC Shadows, not the biggest or the most dense but I have not seen anything on this scale in Yotei:
I'm fine with criticism, but you appear to have extreme disdain for everything. Hence why I asked. Did you enjoy a single new game this year for example?"Do you even like video games??"
I shouted out Horizon in the same post, but you will excuse me for not thinking my primary purpose needs to be glazing the industry. It's not going in a good direction at all. There's a lot to criticize.
As I said in my post.Sir, Sucker Punch has ~160 employees, Guerilla Games 385 and Ubisoft Quebec around 600, with many more studios of Ubi who worked on the game as well.
It seems so that all of them worked on the game..
We speak about a production value of maybe 50 millions for Ghost of Yotei against maybe 150+ millions for Asssasins Creed Shadows.
It doesn't seems like a fair comparison.
Why embarassing, Shadows has like double budget and in terms of graphics Ubi deliver for years. And what I see in trusted reviews Yotei is bettrer game by 2 points in 10 scale (8 vs 6).Losing to ubisoft in one of these, and by such a huge margin, has to be embarrassing.
Maybe. But it really shows in the end result. They are too far behind the big open world engines (like GTA, AC engine, UE, Decima) and will never be able to catch those with their limited team and budget.AC Shadows is like in the $200-300m. budget department, Horizon FW is $212m., this game is around $60m.
Budget really makes a difference.
Pokémon Scarlet and violet was around $1m and that didn't stop gamers to criticise the game.AC Shadows is like in the $200-300m. budget department, Horizon FW is $212m., this game is around $60m.
Budget really makes a difference.
Increasing the budget surely would improve the engine, but it seems that Sucker Punch and Sony are happy with the resultsMaybe. But it really shows in the end result. The woman on the left looks better than the man on the right.
