Oh god I forgot about the SSD magic. Good times.its SSD magic! I mean AI magic!!

Lol not just at playing at 8K, but also at being able to notice the difference. Also, upscaled from what, 720p?
So he's lying about playing it at 8K?
I don't know why but your message just reminded me of this!
Upscaling from 1440p8K? Are people with a 4090 even attempting to utilize that?
Some here are saying it can’t do what the PS5 Pro can do, take that for what you will.
Sure, maybe I was too harsh on my previous post but, would it really worth it? Plus, how many games will be able to reach 8K?Uhm, GT7 runs native 4k on a base PS5. Sounds like a good res to AI upscale to 8k.
If you think it will be anywhere near native 8K before PSSR has a say in it I have a few bridges to sell you .If ya think 4k is waste of compute resources, let me tell ya about 8k
Like the PC with DLSS and saying it's "4K"8K with PSSR upscaling.
This is exactly why I've been holding off on buying games of late.I can't wait to replay FF7 Rebirth on PS5 Pro.
No disagreement there, it's pointless and it's a combination of marketing for the pro and Sony wanting to sell a few extra TVs I imagine. I can only hope most devs don't bother and only focus on 4k.Sure, maybe I was too harsh on my previous post but, would it really worth it? Plus, how many games will be able to reach 8K?
imo the 8K is just pure marketing talk. Like when people were boasting about 64 bits during the 5th gen.
I don’t think jumping to “CNET are liars” is the best move but you do you.You heard it first folks, the Pro will outperform the RTX 4090.
Why don't you just come out an admit it instead of dancing around it? I asked you a clear question and you didn't answer it. Will the PS5 Pro outperform a PC equipped with an RTX 4090 or not?I don’t think jumping to “CNET are liars” is the best move but you do you.
People are using DLSS upscaling on their 4090 to reach 4K too. Do PC gamers constantly remind them they are using DLSS in their games nowadays? The contrary actually, they are actually buying games that support DLSS.Gran Turismo 7 on PS5 PRO with PSVR2, here we go! Hoping for 90FPS and higher resolution in VR mode.
8K with PSSR upscaling.
They are a 65 people team. I prefer them working on creativity than RT effects. How is Astro not on there???? It would benefit BIG time with ray tracing instead of cube maps.
Probably not, but it may outperform a $700 PC in some areas. Why don't you just come out an admit it instead of dancing around it? I asked you a clear question and you didn't answer it. Will the PS5 Pro outperform a PC equipped with an RTX 4090 or not?
In raw power? No.Why don't you just come out an admit it instead of dancing around it? I asked you a clear question and you didn't answer it. Will the PS5 Pro outperform a PC equipped with an RTX 4090 or not?
Use DLSS.In raw power? No.
With PSSR, the proof seems to be in the pudding.
Isn’t that on by default?Use DLSS.
Didn't Polyphony Digital have 1080i on a PS2 in GT4? I can believe that wizardry but it will probably be limited.Lol, that GT7 at 8K is absolute bullshit anyone believing this needs to get their ass beat by a 4090 Card that literally judders at 8K on complex games at 15 FPS or maybe get 4K at best on simple games at 30 Fps.
I'm also wowed by a new 4K ray-tracing mode that casts car reflections on other racers. It feels almost like I'm in VR without the headset.
Isn’t that on by default?
Edit: I figure the ones here saying that 4090 struggles with 8K or 120FPS or even 4K/60 are already using it.
Lots of salty PCMR in here.
It has dynamic resolution, so it should just lock to 4K.How is Astro not on there???? It would benefit BIG time with ray tracing instead of cube maps.

You can run 8K in DLSS Ultra Performance mode (9x) and it will run like 1440p game. It all depends on input resolution rather than output - you can upscale to any resolution. Memory bandwidth will probably still be the bottleneck at 8K.Like the PC with DLSS and saying it's "4K"
This is the way. Native is a waste of resources with good upscaling solutions.
That wasn't the point of what I said. You can run 8K in DLSS Ultra Performance mode (9x) and it will run like 1440p game. It all depends on input resolution rather than output - you can upscale to any resolution. Memory bandwidth will probably still be the bottleneck at 8K.
no word on Ragnarok, i would assume it will support 4k/60fps but cant be sure
I believe DD2 was in the list of games that PS5 Pro would upgrade(somebody correct me if I'm wrong).Capcom needs to be on this list.
Resident Evil 4
Dragon Dogma 2
Monster Hunter Wilds
Same here man that's why I need one my backlog is crazyMe too. I refused to play Cyberpunk 2077, Alan Wake 2, and FF16 because I'm waiting on the PS5 Pro. Looks like we win!!!
Dragons dogma 2? That game is very cpu heavy and struggles on high end cpu's combined with the 4090, so I wouldn't hold my breath for a silk smooth experience with the ps5 pro on that one, sadly.I'm just hyped for DD2 on PS5 pro.
In cities sure. Outside in the wilderness it's GPU limited and the current consoles can already run it in the 40s and 50s.Dragons dogma 2? 8k is on its way out. 16k will be here and as revolutionary as 16 bit back in the day!If ya think 4k is waste of compute resources, let me tell ya about 8k
lol pro fee. At first I thought you were just joking but then….So, are the fuckers going to charge a $10+ upgrade fee for each game?
Just for you.So, are the fuckers going to charge a $10+ upgrade fee for each game?
The double standard from the PC boys is both pathetic and not surprising.People are using DLSS upscaling on their 4090 to reach 4K too. Do PC gamers constantly remind them they are using DLSS in their games nowadays? The contrary actually, they are actually buying games that support DLSS.

Bingo. The mental gymnastics are a hoot, however.People are using DLSS upscaling on their 4090 to reach 4K too. Do PC gamers constantly remind them they are using DLSS in their games nowadays? The contrary actually, they are actually buying games that support DLSS.
