5th Anniversary K-ON! Community |OT5| Please Don’t Say “You Are Lazy!”

There was a borderline crazy thread not that long afterwards where a poster was willing to sacrifice his/her account to resurrect HolyBaikal's. I did tell him/her to pop into K-On! GAF as they were a fan of anime and wanted to maybe get into K-On! Who knows what they are up to on GAF today. The thread was truly something else.

THREAD IN QUESTION

He's in AnimeGAF now.

I've always wondered why there are such inconsistencies in the ribbon colors on the whole HS period during the show.

  • In the first half of season 1 HTT members are freshmen in HS with a blue ribbon
  • In the second half of season 1 Azusa enters HS and as a freshman with a red ribbon instead of a blue ribbon. HTT original members keep the blue ribbon despite being in 2nd year
  • In S01E12 there seems to be a senior in the audience of the 2nd performance of HTT with a green ribbon

  • In the ep. where they remember Megumi Sokabe she's shown using a green ribbon (she was a senior)
  • In S02 they show two girls who're part of Mio's fan club who are freshmen, and they're wearing green ribbons
  • HTT girls keep on wearing blue ribbons despite being in the last year of HS

In summary, my theory is that depending on which exact year they entered high school girls are assigned a different color ribbon, i.e:
  • Girls who entered HS in 2008 are assigned a green ribbon (Megumi, senior in the previous picture at 2nd HTT performance)
  • Girls who entered HS in 2009 are assigned a blue ribbon (HTT original cast)
  • Girls who entered HS in 2010 are assigned a red ribbon (Azusa, Ui, Jun)
  • Girls who entered HS in 2011 are assigned a green ribbon (the 2 girls that are part of Mio's fanclub)
  • and so on...

IDK, what do you think about this? Is there any other plausible explanation?

Yeah, it denotes graduation year, and since they're only three grades in the school, there's only three colors that get rotated.

Their track suits and indoor shoes are also color coded.

Holy shit guys!!!!

Video Games Live was freaking amazing. They played plenty of tunes I wanted to hear and closed out with Chrono Cross' "The Scars of Time". To make it even better my sister won the competition which was "tell us on Facebook which series was the song from we played before break." Easy, it was The Legend of Zelda. Needless to say she won and got a huge $1000 worth of digital download material from the man himself, Tommy Tallarico. Of course me being the videogame music freak she will be giving it to me so I have extra adrenaline going right now.
Also got a meet and greet with Tommy. Guy is super cool and friendly. We chatted about the show and then I told him they should play something from Streets of Rage and he responded that they do sometimes so I gave him a thumbs up and we took a picture together. This night was amazing.

So happy. :)

I'll just post series as it's easier. So here we go.

A general medley of none videogame music.
Metal Gear Solid, Legend of Zelda, Mario, Skyrim, League of Legends, Halo, World of Warcraft, Final Fantasy, Chrono Trigger, Chrono Cross, Shadow of the Colossus, Street Fighter 2 (yes including Ken's theme so fucking good), Earthworm Jim, Mass Effect, Mega Man, Castlevania, A medley of 80s NES games, Sonic. I may be forgetting some things but yeah. Oh Kingdom Hearts. You know the one Hikari Utada's "Simple and Clean" orchestra version (so hard to hold the tears back on that one)

Random thing: Me and Tommy both had red shoes and for some reason that caught his attention lol

EDIT: Space Invaders, cover of Foo Fighters' The Pretender while some guy perfected it while playing on guitar hero

This thread seems to have slowed down a lot more since before I was banned. Maybe I should post a bit more, but I find myself forgetting to click subcriptions when I load GAF V_V
