Well my theory is nowadays animu adaptions are just to try to get people into the manga/light novels, and as the immortal words of Yogurt "Merchandising, merchandising, where the real money from the movie is made!"

Can't really disagree with them being commercials for LN and Manga at least it's a condensed way of looking at it
