I feel very sad because I blew it. I put the SD card of my camera in a SD card reader on a macbook and I was browsing the pictures but suddenly the drive got disconnected and I tried to reconnect it and all the pictures were lost...
I didn't know how to unmount the drive from the macbook since I don't even know how to right click on the drive to pop up a context menu. I actually don't know how to use a mac at all.
Tried recovering files with recuva and rest2514 but to no avail. The best I got was about 300 files with the correct size with recuva but all of them were zero-filled (I saw some of them with XVI32 and there were only zeros in the content).
Was planning to post a picture of Toyosato Elementary School. Shit happens when you least expect it.

I keep triple backups of mine
I have an external HDD to move the pictures there. I can't afford to copy them since I don't have much space in the SD cards (a 64GB card for the GoPro camera and a 16GB card for a Nikon camera)
The HDD is a 1TB drive.
Mike, BTW, is your triple backup done in physical media, or you have a cloud storage in that configuration?
The first time we tried to use dropbox but given the bandwidth we got I'd take a lot of time to upload even very few pictures. Does grouping the pictures in a big rar file and uploading it do any better?

Hey Mike, you didn't tell me if your backups are made in physical media (like in multiple SD cards) or if you also have a cloud backup service.I keep triple backups of mine
