I fully agree with the racing games sentiment. I think the music is the best thing about The Crew 2, aside from the map. And most racing games have a good bit of this style of music in it. Keeps my feet and legs constantly tapping up and down.

Racing games and racing IRL too. Well, for spirited driving at least. Obviously when it's a life and death sort of situation you want to have all your senses focused and hear engine sounds, tire squeal, and other cars around you at the absolute limit, so you generally don't want to have Spotify on when it reaaaallly counts, but rocking some Kavinsky on hot laps or the countryside mountain pass will get you in the zone real well.

Yeah I can imagine that would be ideal. You race? I have always wanted to try going to a track or renting a car for some more rigorous driving.
I have a few motorcycles and listening to this music while riding is a feeling like no other.

As a child of the 70s/80s I wish we had such great music then. Or at least, I didn't have any kind of access to anything other than what was playing on the local radio station. Or my older siblings playing ABBA

Just noticed this thread! Hello synth brothers. I see FM Attack posted on this last page, so that's a good sign.

I love 80s music, whether it's organic or synthetic, so synthwave and all the other words have been a blessing. Anyone have recommendations for songs/albums that have vocals? I have plenty of instrumental material, but full songs are much harder to find.

Retro Bump....

While this is not typically the 'retro synth wave' I do consider this retro synth music.
LMNC is not using any automation aside from loops and sequencers. Its all analog and could have easily been made in the 80's.

I have been jamming on this song for a bit now as well.

Subbing to this , tons of pages to go through. I mostly like Metal Music so a lot of industrial type stuff is what I gravitate to but it doesn’t always feel Cyberpunky enough, but I then heard Carpenter Brut which kind of Mixes Metal & Cyberpunk/Sythwave Music.

So I then made my way through Youtube & did what everyone does click whatever is suggested there, some Synth stuff I like but if it’s too Synthpop It’s not my thing. The problem is YouTube’s algorithm is rubbish.

At least now it is all here in one place.

La prohibida released a new album this year called "Ruido" (Noise) and it has some great stuff in it. It's mostly vocal synthwave/italo disco sang in Spanish, but I guess even if you don't understand the lyrics, you may like it. She's a trans artist and has become a gay icon in Spain. These are the singles from her new album so far:
