PewDiePie once roasted a game so hard the devs gave up on the game and never patch it since.
Dude's fanbase doesn't fuck around.

The video was entertaining, but he seems to have a limited vocabulary.
lol some people here said it was the GAF negative echo chamber. Oh boy.
Besides the fact that it skips a frame of animation, once you know the context, it becomes a ridiculous expression.
"Hey your brother's pod had a malfunction!"

I will continue to say this: why would anyone want to consider themselves a "gamer"? People in real life will look at you weird, and for good reason, if you use that word to describe yourself.
I mean sure. Don't want to join in on another GAF hatefest, but yeah, the pride in showing their game cancellation is pretty embarrassing.

LOL. People showing screenshots of their cancellations.
This thread is embarrassing.
Entire thread is embarrassing because one, maybe a few people showed a pic of their cancellation. Yah, okay.
Maybe because English isn't his native language?

I'm still going to hold off for a reviews and it's a game, as a massive Mass Effect fan that I will play eventually anyway but maybe not right now. It depends on reviews and if there is any sort of improvement after the first few hours. I think there should be but I can't imagine the writing or the facial animations will suddenly improve.
So you stopped by to scold us or what? The vast majority of this thread has been to have a laugh. It has only recently transformed into a more direct response by people saying that it appears that there is too much concern about the game and they are now going to hold off.
If you would actually read what people are saying you would see it isn't a hatefest, but go ahead and do you. I'll summarize what I wrote, I cannot support Bioware/EA here unless they fix their product. I'm sure the gameplay and the story is solid, but I'm going to with hold my money until they live up to the franchise. You are specifically cherry picking one person and trying to bash/lump everyone who isn't getting on board.
(S)He was one of the people trying to downplay those of us in the origin access early trial for having negative opinions on the game. It's one thing to try and downplay if people think a trailer or gif looks bad but we played the game for 10 hours... it's mediocre. :/
Edit: Mediocre, not shit but still not good and definitely shitty compared to how it should have been.
Haha, that Team America comparison. Can't unsee:

This thread became embarrassing when the likes of you decided to turn up and get all pissy because you can't seem to handle negative opinions regarding your favourite series.LOL. People showing screenshots of their cancellations.
This thread is embarrassing.
It's called "fanboyism", or "I spent a bunch of money on this product, so I will be an obnoxious twat towards anyone who suggests that this investment maybe wasn't a great idea".I don't know why fans kept defending this. (I'm a fan too for ffs)
Are we not supposed to have some expectations? Given how fucking good previous games are?
Reviews are out Monday right? For a Tuesday release? I didn't want to bother trying to cancel the day before, or return it. Bleh.
Funniest thing is that this news/outrage is going to have some reviewers and early adopters over-scrutinize the game. A sort of 'what-is-seen-cannot-be-unseen' kind of thing.
I watched the 2-hour Giant Bomb stream and could only see the immense jank in everything. The animations, the stilted AI, the voice-acting, everything. It's impossible to look past it once it has been seen. It looks like they gave this game to a bunch of interns.
The bottom of the pit is when your game entertain more on its problems than on its qualities.
So very sad.
Same here, even if they hadn't pointed it out. I hope it doesn't hinder my overall enjoyment of the final game but it's disappointing that I can't help but notice how they've botched some of the most important aspects of the series. It's hard to believe some people aren't even noticing it.

Previous games actually have pretty decent facial animations, even though it's not some Naughty Dog level shit at least the characters are very believable (and memorable).
For fuck's sake, this is is the first next-gen Mass Effect, and it's not even a cross gen game.
We are not demanding MGSV or FFXV levels of facial animation quality but this is just ridiculous.
Fandom and brand fetishism is a real thing. There are people who really gets offended when 'their' product is being critisized-- like someone said something nasty about their mother.it reeks of entitlement and lack of respect for other people when someone is offended and complains about people choosing not to blindly spend their money day one. Like it's some sort of cult or religion based on consumption and blind faith in a fucking entertainment product. That "not a gamer" streamer guy and posters who are too emotionally invested.
It tells me that the person is empathizing more with a product than the volition of other people.
Make sure you never visit the Gamefaqs forums. That place in particular is a toxic shithole when it comes to corporate fanatics and shills.Fandom and brand fetishism is a real thing. That has always been my issue with fans (and fanboys) of any IP/series/etc, especially Nintendo the last two generations. I am also a very big Mass Effect fan and thus I expect the games to be good. When they are anything less than good (which Andromeda is less than good as per my 10 hours with the game) I will call them out. This is especially bad when it's a game in a series like this. I get why they want to brush away the negatives and pretend it's okay but it's just so infuriating. But it's whatever, games like Skyward Sword have shown us that in the end the "omg true faaanssss" opinions don't usually survive the test of time.
This what happens when you outsource your main franchise to the DLC team for 40 million dollars.
I come across Gamefaq when searching for some game related solutions now and then. Helps, sometimes, but yeah, bascially there's a reason why I stick to (a sub) reddit and NeoGAF and only one single (German) community I have joined thirteen years ago.Make sure you never visit the Gamefaqs forums. The other thing to note is many people are not dancing on any graves and delighted this is not looking good.(Edit: Aside from the gifs being funny af)
I know I am frustrated and disappointed I am not excited as hell at this very moment. I am still holding out hope reviews and indepth let's play redeem it or some magical series of patches happen. I definitely want a good Mass Effect game. I really like the series (aside from my mixed feelings on the ending of 3).
But I am not shelling out cash just for name/brand recognition alone just because.
But the Team America marionette has hair physics...I see no difference here other than clothing

Even Pewdiepie made a video on this?
Holy fuck, it's all caving in.
Why is a frustrated Bioware marketer talking about this over the top of Horizon gameplay?
Call me crazy but I think the ME1 stuff holds up a little better. It looks very last-gen but a little less uncanny valley-ey.
UUUUUHHHH GAF's job is done here.
This will become the penultimate "wtf?" Gif it's just too perfect
