A Compilation of Hilarious Animations in Mass Effect Andromeda

What's with people picking the worst example of Andromeda's animation and comparing it to the best examples from other games?

That wasn't HZD's best example though, that's just a side quest character. Plus, the Ryder twins would be absolutely demolished by most of Horizon's characters.

What's with people picking the worst example of Andromeda's animation and comparing it to the best examples from other games? The animations in Andromeda aren't good, but they're 90% of the time better than that

Have you played any of those other games? These are far from "the best examples". They are just side NPCs in non-critical conversations.

Why are people so focused on the animations when the writing is equally terrible? That matters a lot more.

Visuals are something almost anyone can agree on because there are very defined, easy to understand technical aspects involved. Also easy to post gifs on the internet regarding these goof ups.

Writing is not quite as easy. But people have been giving the writing a hard time, too.

A few more I found on Youtube.

Oh it's terrible too and to be fair, it has been said in the thread. The whole "my face is tired" exchange is amateur hour. I don't think it would've come out worse if they were using text to speech.

It's unacceptable for a billion dollar studio like Bioware. But funny pics are funnier. Terrible writing is just depressing.

Honestly I just don't get why we're comparing one of the worst examples of walking in Andromeda with one of the best examples of dancing in pop music history.

can tell you for a fact that Smooth Criminal footage ain't the best technical dance from Smooth Criminal. It's actually pretty close to what it's being compared to. And I think it still comes out on top.

Not an animation, but was playing MP and noticed the Stars are visible through the planet. Lol, not gonna say i havent seen shit like this in other games, but still

what? he said that?
Yes and he kept repeating it on stream when asked.
That's...fine? He wasn't being hyperbolic or lying there.

Ya'll are being harsh on Cohh. God forbid someone says one thing exaggerated and dumb when they're shooting the shit and chatting politely for 8+ hours a day or whatever.

Nah he was deceiving legit consumers every time he was asked about it on stream. Sorry if it was just him being dumb that woulda been fine.

Though this is grossly offtopic so ya.

I mean, you're all a bunch of hypocrites.

When David Cage comes up with awesome animations and bad writing you're jumping at his throat !!

Now for the sake of consistency Bioware comes up with terrible animations and writing and you're not happy !

You're impossible to please !!!

I like David Cage games.

But I thought good animations were a failure of the game designer

Oddly enough I like Heavy Rain and Beyond Two Souls. Writing can be shit at times, but at least Cage seems to put some actual thought into what he creates. This Andromeda thing just screams cash grab.

I don't think you spend five years funding a "cash grab". But EA certainly may have forced it out before it is ready to make their yearly numbers.

I mean, it's not like the writing in Bioware games is much better.

I wonder if any one at Bioware regrets not going with a alien lead, like 90% of the buggy animations would look natural on a Turian body.

It looks like the problem with Cora is they've designed her to have her hands behind her back when standing (as if to attention) and in doing so had to model her arms for it to work. In the process she's ended up having arms that don't move realistically. That seems to be a design flaw as opposed to a bug or glitch.

Has this terrible bit of writing been discussed yet?

'To me, that's the saddest part. The Captain's heart was broken right before it exploded.'

Fucking LOL. I know 'my face is tired' is grabbing all the headlines because it's so obviously dumb but I think this is actually even funnier.

Quoted it here, because it belongs in the collection.

Did this game had a writing editor? lmaooooo

Hopefully this will finally push them to include playable alien races in the next game.
I was extremely disappointed that they were doing a de facto soft reboot of the franchise yet completely ignored that possibility (which has even been present in DA:I) in favor of doing exactly the same uninspired thing the trilogy did. Being able to play as a Turian or Krogan would be amazing, massive potential with background 'origin' stories right there.

My wife, who has worked w/ stroke patients, saw this over my shoulder and asked if this was supposed to be a stroke patient.

I said no, it was the main character in a game called Mass Effect.

She then noted that a "Mass Effect" in medicine is when tumor expansion causes secondary pathology. This occurs often with brain tumors, which she suggested might also explain the character's bizarre movements and expression.
This is amazing.

I posted that in the other thread but nobody is trying it out.

Apparently there are two models for Default Sarah.

One that you get by customizing and picking default, and one by selecting quick start.

They're the same "Sarah" but they look dramatically different. They also don't seem to share the exact same animations, so that's gonna fun.
