Infinite Warfare was bailed out by holding Modern Warfare Remastered hostage behind the premium edition. I am one of many who bought it for that and barely lasted an hour on Infinite Warfare, and I liked Black Ops 3.
The only thing that would work this time is doing the same with MW2/BO2 remastered. They've millked the nostalgia cow dry though so even that might not work.

Changing the tech tree like this will not make for a happy CoD base. Last time they tried was before the big MW2019 popularity explosion, so I don't think it's a good reference of how it will go over. I think the fanbase will be very sensitive to all their favorite guns going away or getting glow sticks glued to them. Not gonna be a flop, but the absolute worst timing with BF6 available as an alternative. People aren't reporting on this angle enough IMO.

Battlefield isn't an area shooter no matter how hard it tries. Going of the beta it looks to be the better game right now for folks who like shooting stuff but its almost niche compared to COD.
Both will be the enemy of the forum though as they are GAAS.

Maybe slow sales will push some senses to these devs to stop fucking around because I know they are more than capable of releasing a great call of duty game. MW and MW2 reboots were a godsend

I played BO6 a lot got through season 1 etc. It's horrible. I wouldn't be saying what I am saying if I didn't play it as much as I did. Maybe 70-100 hours.

To be fair I dropped BLOPS6 after season 3 the maps are wank, but it plays well enough. Like I was saying there really isnt a viable alternative if you want an arena shooter that all you casual mates play.
Offer me a viable alternative, I'm all ears.

I'm not entirely sold on Battlefield 6 based on the Beta. However, COD has been garbage since Call of Duty Cold War. The last good Cod was MW2019 and I'm tired of playing that.
BO7 looks horrible. I can't envision a scenario where I pay money for this game. Horrible and a huge departure from what I want in my COD. Since Microsoft has taken over, it's fair to expect that this franchise will die like Halo.

It's all about the attachments, every gun is pure ass without maxing it out, recoil, damage etc. I was rolling 3-12 games now I'm easily doing 23-9-10 games

this "fantasy" has been part of black ops since the first game in 2010; black ops 1, 2, 3, 5, 6 all do mindfuckery shit in their campaigns, it's pretty much the entire reason the "black ops" brand exists.
