'A Minecraft Movie' | Review Thread

They'd make money

Lots of money.
Or even just supporting a decent login system that is more compatible with modding.

The barrier every time I play with various interesting Minecraft ports is that MS's insane authentication always gets in the way and ends up breaking releases randomly when they make changes. Modding through the workshop on Steam is a whole different kind of convenience in comparison.

Recite a single line from that film
I went to see the Avatar sequel with my daughter (just for the 3D experience - which I found hugely distracting, with the movie jumping between 24 and 48 fps, often within the same scene). Later on, I asked her whether she liked it. She was like "it was alright". Then I asked her to name a single character. She failed to do that, as did I.

the meme culture is strong with this one and the young people...

I already took my son last weekend but he's going again this weekend with friends, apparently so they can all yell the lines and enjoy the meme experience. I don't get it, but whatever, glad to see it succeed -- it's dumb in harmless ways, and I'm much rather see that succeed than something like recent Disney trash which is dumb in ideological & political ways

My brother sar it with his kid and said it copied the themes of, plot to, and even lifted entire sequences from Napoleon Dynamite.

I thew found out that it was directed by the actual Napoleon Dynamite guy.

I guess people who aren't "elder Milennials" aren't familiar enough with N.D. to catch this?
