Pretty sure it's Fuzion Frenzy remaster

I could see the next Forza being revealed with a deep dive in June and release date for late this year
Would be a nice surprise but also kinda odd if they announce and release a game before Fable, where most of their staff is supposedly working.

Yeah, I think it'll be a new game. Double Fine's or Oblivion Remake's would be my bet.

We already know for sure that it's a new game.

I would take that and just me personally would love to see it launch on PS day and date and get more players in the game

It's probably one of the few MS franchises that absolutely has no issues with getting millions of players.

But it certainly will sell very well on PlayStation.

Oh yes, absolutely. Forgot about that.

In fact, i think Forza Horizon 6 has a higher chance than Double Fine's game. Might even be that "no red line" day one PS5 game that Phil and others were hinting at.

Way more sensible to port Forza Horizon 5 first, make millions of dollars, then bring FH6 over later.

I think for racing games it males no sense to because of licensing. So its either the new game day one or no horizon at all imo.

Forza horizon 5 is still on sale everywhere. Full price right now. At worst, the game gets delisted when the license period ends.

Port it over this year on Switch 2 and PS5.
And then bring the next version as a port to both consoles. You'll make more money that way.

A remaster of a remastered collection ? What do you think this is, SIE?

Sony are certainly much savvier businessmen though. Remasters are a low hanging fruit that MS just stumbles at doing.

Could have paid any number of studios cash to make Fallout remasters, for example. Like the Ready at Dawn folks that just got shuttered. Or Arkane Austin.

In fact, MS doesn't do remasters because they don't have relevant franchises to remaster
Voodoo Vince Remaster or Phanton Dust are examples of the level of games that MS has available to remaster

They have one of the largest caches of IP in this entire industry, are you smoking crack?

They have many IPs, but most of them are niche titles (Monstertruck madness, Freelancer, Star lancer, Id titles, ...). Also they remastered already a few games (e.g. fable).

I really hope for a new Keen game, but I guess to much niche. At least that would be a surprise title for me ...

Btw, don't they also have the rights for wacky wheels?
Edit: oh, that was 3d realms not id.

The problem mostly comes to "how many copies will it sell?"

If the original game didn't sell as much - and the software-buying population has decreased since then - how many copies would a remaster sell?

Their very old games were good and will sell a lot as remasters (Halo 1-2-3, Gears 1-2-3, Fallout New Vegas etc.) but they are so old, a simple remaster wouldn't work. They will need a thorough remake, which ups the cost and requires higher sales. Their newer games have mostly been awful, so remastering them doesn't make much sense financially.

Sony remasters games because their original sold 15-20+ million copies (Horizon, TLOU, Spider-Man, etc.). So the remaster has a chance of selling 1-2 million copies and be very profitable.

Everyone knows about Oblivion. It's not that. Probably Halo.

Well...maybe, they did say "unannounced" as in, not revealed officially, so it actually very well could be the Oblivion remake

To equal sony circle-jerking one of their biggest mid games, I could microsoft doing that too.

Somehow Lego Crackdown actually sounds more fun

360 era was crazy, Crackdown was that one GTA Killer when everyone was chasing the GTA craze post PS2 days lol I feel a Lego Crackdown legit sounds more fun then that actual IP imho

Banjo remake outsourced.

I'm semi triggered, but shit....who is even left at Rare that worked on the original that would work on a remake at this point? So maybe it being outsourced isn't that bad tbh

Totally agree with lego crackdown unironically, we could perhaps even get the destruction that they originally promised for 3.

As for banjo, ms does own activision, i know toys for bob is no longer a part of them but they do have a partnership, i could see them making it or vicarious visions

Play tonic with oversight of Nintendo and ms

Bethesda themselves are going to show off an Oblivion remake. And Forza Horizon 6 wouldn't be a surprise unannounced game. No Final Fantasy or any other ports either.
It'll be something left field, probably not anything big since it's just a developer direct, I'm guessing that it's a 3rd party collaboration.
