Are any of you trophy hunters planning on picking up Dead Space 3 next week? Theres a bunch of co-op trophies and would love to find someone from here to do them with before I try and look else where.

Awesome, add me to your friends list (Steve as well if you're down to co-op). I'm down to co-op anytime I'm online but I'm online pretty sparatically, depending on the wife.
Theres a ton that are easy. Of the most recent games I've platted, I'd suggest Dishonored (about 15-20 hours), Hitman: Absolution (15-20 hours), DMC: Devil May Cry (roughly 30 hours). The Uncharted games I found to be pretty easy to plat as well and they are a blast to play.
I would not count on that. I have 1250gs on Dungeon Siege III and although yes, you SHOULD be able to only kill the final boss on someone's else game for the achievement, for some weird reason it doesn't work.I've got like 5 games where only one trophy is missing for the Platinum.
Especially Dungeon Siege 3 is frustrating cause it's only killing the end boss on hard mode.
So long i platinumed Far Cry 3 this month, am playing Shadows of the Damned right now and trying to get the last trophies and next up is finishing my stealth run on Dishonored (quick question: do you really can't kill ANYONE for the "Clean Hands" trophy?? Not even the targets??)

I searched the web for people willing to help me and tried with 3 different persons, but the achievement never unlocked for me. So I played the game start to finish and got the achievement. I imediately sent a message to 2 friends that had the game and in the next couple days, they both joined my game and I killed the final boss again, giving them the achievement. I left a message on xboxachievements saying I would gladly help anyone that needed the achievement, so some weeks later I received a message asking for help.
The guy joined my game, I killed the boss and... no achievement. Another person contacted me some days later and the same thing again. It's like the achievement expires on your save game after a while. Really weird.
But, on the bright side, if you play with Katarina (the chick with a gun, don't remember if the name is really that) the game is really easy actually.
I'm planning on getting it next week too. I'll add you when I get home.

Me and Returners are pretty huge Dead Space fans so we're always up for some co-op. I believe the Dead space 3 OT has a Google doc with other people who like to play co-op as well.
Also for the people who want to get the TEAM SONIC trophy in Sonic Racing on Vita this guy on PS3trophies says you can get it with 2-3 players+bots. Takes about 1-2 hours or maybe even less depending on CPU-picks. If anyone is up for it I might give it a try this weekend. Just let me know ITT.
Oh and I know I promised to do a ranking list of people from 2012 who entered the ranks during that year, but sadly real life got in the way (haven't played for a while). I will try to put up that list next month.

Really? Weird, might be a glitch. Being brought into someone else's game is how I got it but I can't remember exactly what we did, so there might be something that fucks it up.
The guy that helped me was also super awesome and helped me get all the other end trophies (remaining two characters) and all the multiplayer ones. Turns out I only needed to play through it once, which was cool, even though I did end up quite liking the game.
The Sly Collection is a good and pretty easy to get three Plats quickly.
It is possible to earn the Counterstrike: Global Offensive Platinum entirely by accident against Easy difficulty bots. The Sonic Ultimate Genesis Collection is pretty tame.
The first-party collections seem to be good for this. Sly, GoW, etc. Mostly straightforward. I'm doing Jak 1 right now.
Hey guys, I finally took care of these retail games that I've been working on for awhile (Modern Warfare 3, Black Ops 2, Max Payne 3). Not all of them were completions (i.e. Black Ops 2 is done at 830/1000) but I'm just finally done with all of them and now I'm ready to start an XBLA binge. I have the following XBLA games in my backlog. I was wondering what Achieve-Trophy GAF's opinion is on all of them. Which one is the best game, any tips for achievements/trophies, etc...

Finished Prince of Persia last night, just need to collect 350ish more light seeds
was going for speed demon so didnt collect man. forrgot when i had it on 360 i managed to get all the light seeds and speed demon and get saved less then 100x all in one go. oh well.
Here comes the boring bit.
Might buy the dlc again just to get it to 100%

Black Knight Sword: never heard of it.
Dust is a pretty good game. I read so many comments about how it is "definitely in my top 10" though I don't agree. But the game is good. Achievements wise, you should start the game at the highest difficulty to get everything in one go and to have a decent challenge. You can plan on spending +/- 17h to get all the achievements.
JSR is hard and there is an achievement where you must not be grabbed. You cannot restart the game to do this achievement, you have to delete your save if you want it, so beware. Apart from that the gameplay hasn't aged as well as I would have thought.

Hey sorry I haven't been clear. The "your save will be dead for the don't get caught achievement" is not that horrible regarding it (the save), you will only need to delete it and start a new one to give a new go to the achievement.
But yeah, the achievement is kinda hard.

So I stopped short of Far Cry 3 completion by 7 trophies. 5 co-op ones (I hit 15 online and could not play anymore without online pass, maybe will find real life friend to help one day) and the other for 60 relics and a super syringe which you get at 25 relics I think.
I just did not want to run around and find relics to get a trophy. Having said that I am currently playing Sleeping Dogs and happen to be unlocking lock boxes which is related to a few trophies.
XCOM is a lot of fun atm, getting trophies for that seem to happen pretty naturally.

Finally got every FC3 co-op trophy.
It was really irritating. Three of them went fine, but then the PS3 froze when we reached the radio tower in mission #4.
That's pretty much at the ending of that mission, so I stopped playing for a while. (things like can really irritate me). Continued today and it wasn't really a smooth ride. First time, I received a host migration at the radio tower (progress lost). I tried mission #5 and it kicked me out (while I was host) during the last bit of protecting the truck.
Tried #4 again and I joined a group already in progress. Joined in about two minutes after the start. Finally completed the mission. Then I found out you only receive the trophy if you join at the VERY beginning. Slightly mad, I paused the game for an hour until trying again.
This time, I completed #6 (ending wasn't that easy tbh, so much enemies) -> #4 -> #5. So relieved right now.
TL;DR: I hate FC3 co-op, especially since they're quite long and people tend to play bad/die a lot.

I'm slowly working my way towards 100%ing Hitman: Absolution. The list seems to be pretty easy so far. Hard isn't too bad, it's pretty intense when sneaking around, but going back to levels on Normal for challenges and dicking around is a lot more compelling due to more options being viable. I think the only achievements I'll have left at the end will be the friend contract and the collectibles (which seem like they should be pretty easy to rush through).

Yeah, I'm feeling the same way. Theres alot of good games coming out for PS3/360 before the new systems come though.
I'll be interested to see how all the trophies/achievements carry over. I wonder if it'll be similar to how Vita handled trophies and just continue adding to the number or if it'll start back at 0.
I Can't wait for the new systems, day one for PS4, may wait on the new xbox, since I've only turned on my 360 for Gears of War.

A part of me wishes the trophies/achievements get reset to zero actually as I too would stop with the collecting. Mostly so I can just enjoy a game from start to finish without all the reading of guides, finding people to do online, playing crappy games, and watching youtube vids. I'm getting that feeling from Ni No Kuni as I'm playing it from start to finish then going back to get the trophies but for now I'm just enjoying the game, graphics, and story which brings me back to my SNES through PS2 RPG gaming days.
I was hoping the Wii U was a better machine as I would of switched but It's no better than a PS3 or 360 and will be even worse come the fall or next spring when the newer consoles are out.
