That's one of the reasons I'm scared of going into Hot Toys. Most of them are amazing, but there's still lots of QC issues and weird design choices (here's looking at you rubber deterioration and Deadpool sleeves) that shouldn't be on a $200+ figure. Then again I have Rocketeer, and RAH seem to have more issues than HT...

Gotta be very very very gentle!

My younger brother and I got these at Walmart today. Batman was $5.

You have some nice pics, but your flash lighting is a little too harsh. Try going with maybe some natural lighting from a window or some diffused lighting using a curtain or a blanket. Just my opinion.

Got my figma ALBW Link DX. I actually really like this box design.

It's the smallest figma I've got, but it makes up for with a ton of accessories.

It's smaller than the Skyward Sword figma, but in some ways it's actually easier to pose. The hair piece is a lot easier to remove, the shield straps are less likely to pop out, and the peg for the master sword's grip is shaped so that it only goes in one way.

Bring on the Twilight Princess Link.
I want this hard! What is a good, not too expensive place to pick this up? My bday is next month and I want to drop some hints to my wife. Gamestop is selling the deluxe version for $70, but I think it's cheaper elsewhere.

Today's figures hit my wallet hard. My pre-orders:

Soul of Chogokin - GX-70 Mazinger Z D.C.

S.H. Figuarts - Devilman D.C.

D.D.PANORAMATION Saint Seiya Rozan Ascending Dragon -Dragon Shiryu

Thank God none of the Figuarts went up for pre-orders, it would have been... diabolical...

Now we're talking.

Except the Deadpool stuff is people being dumb, taking the pegs out of the arm, and not tucking the sleeve back behind the peg like how it arrived.

Out of all the HT stuff I've bought, I've had one figure to replace and a couple issues with accessories.

You have some nice pics, but your flash lighting is a little too harsh. Try going with maybe some natural lighting from a window or some diffused lighting using a curtain or a blanket. Just my opinion.

Thanks for the tips. These were just some quick pics I took with my cellphone mainly to post on here and Instagram and such real quick in the middle of the night for fun.

Here's some pics I took of other figures before with some more effort put into them, and with a nicer camera: http://www.neogaf.com/forum/showpost.php?p=214908525&postcount=9933

I used the flashlight on my phone to control the lighting from different angles, and my camera had no flash on when I took the "fancy" ones. They're obviously standing in front of monitors for some of the pics. The first four were with a higher quality, non-reflective monitor. The others were from my laptop, because I couldn't use my other monitor at the time, so they don't look as good. Heh.

I pre-ordered the DX version from the Good Smile Shop for about $60 +shipping. Amiami has the basic version for about $40, but of course shipping costs vary.

The worst thing about being a Figma collector is living in the UK. UK resellers get stock a month later and then must ship it out to me. At least I avoid customs charges but damnnnnmnnnn.

I'll have Lucina during the last week of Sept or early Oct ;____;

Marvel Legends mixing movie figures in drives me nuts.

The new Doc Strange line has some cool first time comic figures, but 2-3 are movie figures, with Iron Fist as a repeat.

But the build figure is Dormammu so now I feel like I have to get them all even though I don't want several. What do

I hate this too. I don't want to collect the Marvel Legends movie figures. I understand why they do it, I just wish they didn't. I'll just buy the BAF parts I'll need off E-Bay.

Darkness cannot drive out darkness; only light can do that. Hate cannot drive out hate; only love can do that.
The movie figures are usually nicer because they have better reference to work from. /shrug
The Civil War version of War Machine is the best figure they've ever done.

I just wish they'd let stores and individuals decide which figures to buy instead of having case assortments.
The closest they've come is entire cases of Nick Fury.

I didn't realise that Figma ALBW Link figures are ON THE WAY TO THE UK RIGHT NOW.

Now I have to lay down a preorder. I may as well get the DX version too.

MY WALLET

I heard rogue one stuff is going on pre order tonight. I imagine black series, but what about the Figuarts stuff just shown? Anyone have any insight if those are going live tonight on HLJ/ami?

Yeah, how do you guys solve the problem of space? I'm tempted to get my figures out of the box but then I'm afraid of things going missing or if I'll need the box later on down the line.

The most efficient way of safely storing loose stuff that you're not actively displaying or playing with (besides the hassle of unboxing and reboxing constantly) is ziplock bags inside bins/boxes/whatever. If you go that route then use polypropylene bags. (inherently acid-free and archival grade)

after you posted yesterday i was tempted and ordered another @ hlj but waiting to ship her with more stuff... i'm running out of space. my closet is packed and boxes running all over the floor currently.

Boo, I hate you! :p

I'm pretty close right now to preordering the DX Link figma. I was going to pass but seeing reviews it actually looks really good.

Love seeing what people post in this thread. I kinda stick with Marvel Legends so it's neat seeing what else is out there.

I picked up a Walgreen's Punisher the other day. Thought I was going to pass on this originally, but when I saw him I caved in. He's got that classic look for the character that I dig. The first thing I did as soon as I got him out of the box was remove his chest straps. I wanted him to be in a bit more of a standard look. I really like the bandanna headsculpt, I just wish it didn't have the bandanna on it, lol. The regular head is OK, but I don't like the slicked back hair and red eyes as much. But I suppose either one will work fine.

Also grabbed a Nick Fury. Never had a figure of him before, so happy to add him to my collection. I love that they included the Dirk Anger head with things too. Such a clever idea to help get characters in figure form that we most likely would not get otherwise.

Got Bucky and Falcon in the mail like a week or two ago after not being able to find them in stores, and then lo and behold...the Walmart I usually go to has tons of them.
If you live around Orlando/Kissimmee, this was at the Walmart next to Medieval Times.

I've been keeping an eye out for that 3.75" Cosmic Marvel pack but I'm not sure if they're here in Canada yet (or ever).

S.H. Figuart fans:

I've been collecting the Sailor Moon line and saw that out of nowhere, the Crystal version of Sailor Moon is on pre-order at Rightstuf. Nothing at Amazon, Amiami, or Big in Japan even, and it doesn't appear to be a Japanese online exclusive...

Has anyone else seen this on pre-order elsewhere, yet?

She's up on BBTS, but I haven't checked anywhere else.

I have a few figures in the mail (which kills me to wait on) but I was able to add on to that list of deliveries today. If you have the 40% off coupon for B&N that was sent via email, you can use it on figures that they sell. I was able to get Comicave's Mark 43 figure for $58 shipped (coupon and membership discount together). For those who don't know, it usually retails for $119, but B&N sells it for $99.99. The coupon works online and in-store.

I am fiending for some Pred figures, now. I wish I could afford the Hot Toys one, but man those NECA figures are looking so good now. Way more posable and varied than they used to be.

I am on the hunt.

The NECA Predator line is so good. There's just so much variation within the line, even though they retain the same basic design. I've got quite a few of them, and can't wait to add more. The newer bucks used for the AVP line are amazing. Just super articulated and massive. These are my favorite Predator figures I've gotten so far:

Bad Blood Predator, based on the Dark Horse comic.

Elder Predator, from Predator 2

Snake Predator, from Predator 2

Scar Predator, from AVP

I couldn't recommend these guys highly enough. Last I looked, they can be found for relatively reasonable prices and haven't experienced crazy after-market markups yet. I don't own any of the Any Time or Pussy Face figures yet. I'm holding out for the ultimate versions NECA plans to release soon.
