None of this surprises me. Larger companies always have a few people like this. My company had an employee choke slam a girl that bumped into him at our xmas party.
Thats right he choke slammed her to the floor for he accidentally bumping him right in front of the entire company. He was fired the next day, but there are always a few retards like this.
Another company i worked at had fights in the office. Im talking, knock over computers type scraps. As well as unwanted advances on female employees
Teacher was fired because they are not allowed to have onlyfans accounts because teachers are required to have unblemished opinion in community. It's a valid question, the story is missing a fair bit of context. How did they get access to nude pictures of someone, or were they sharing already public stuff?
We had a similar situation in the UK where a teacher had an onlyfans and some students found it and shared the pictures, the teacher ended up being fired (?) And then sued the council.
We had a GAF thread about that girl who got Chris Avellone fired then people found her porn video, which was linked to and discussed in the thread. Are we a boys club now too?
I love to dunk on Activision but any company with 1000+ staff is going to have bad apples, I find these reports too shocking to be something endorsed by the company itself, it's not like riot where they had literal bedrooms in the office for staff to have sex on.
Because sharing someone nudes is crime (on top of being absolutely immoral) and you don't want to employ criminals. Not reacting for situation like that makes you (and whole company) accomplice in that crime.Totally true, but this brings up the question - why a company should to be involved into two individuals affair then? The dude turned out to be a total dick, happens, nothing new, many guys are exactly like that and share personal pics of girls/women they're not really into and treat them as nothing but a temporary fun, but then again, guys wouldn't have anything to share if they didn't get those kind of pics in the first place.
I work from home now so I drink in the office all the time.Drink in the office.
Teacher was fired because they are not allowed to have onlyfans accounts because teachers are required to have unblemished opinion in community.
I'm actually shocked that someone is trying to defend that. Is that really that hard to understand?
You get nudes from someone, then you don't share them.
You get someone else nudes from other person, then you don't share them and delete them. Preferably before opening them if you can.
You found your coworker onlyfans/pornhub/whatever account you don't share it with people in work.
Leave private life of your coworkers alone. If you think they damage company reputation with what they are doing in private time then go to HR with that, don't make someone else private life public.
This is terrible. That headline really does not do justice to the accusations.
I've been hanging onto my WoW account now by a thread through some enjoyment of TBC classic since retail wow is an utter disaster, but I think I'm done for good now.
I bet it's rampant in Google and Facebook but because they're woke virtue signalers California doesn't go after them. It's not surprising in the least.
I bet that a majority of these Billion dollar corporate Companies have this shit, but they are just better at hiding or paying people off to keep their mouth shut.
Meh, I bet most big male-dominated companies are like this. This is just California going after Republican-leaning CEO or it just wants to extract more money from successful businesses. It seems we are living at a time when people confuse accusations and verdicts. People want quick justice and don’t care about judicial process. There are jerks in every company or sphere of life but we keep judging whole package based on acts of few individuals. Of course when you have vast majority of male employees there’s gonna be male-dominated culture. Would be same if it was reversed.
I bet it's rampant in Google and Facebook but because they're woke virtue signalers California doesn't go after them.
Revenge porn is illegal in California. They're fucked.Just because you have nudes of a lass, doesn't mean ya free to send them all about in the office. Cunt behaviour.
Nothing wrong with it. We used to keep a lot of beer stocked in the fridges at my work. I routinely threw back a cold one at lunch time and then again in the evening if I was working late. The best workplace is a relaxed one.I try to once or twice a day.
I wouldn’t be so sure with people making Call of Duty year after year.I mean the people who are in the investigation are game devs and I can bet they weren't voting Trump.
That is beyond fucked up
Here's the full excerpt from the lawsuit. Absolutely awful
How do you think this investigation got started in the first place?
Because sharing someone nudes is crime (on top of being absolutely immoral) and you don't want to employ criminals. Not reacting for situation like that makes you (and whole company) accomplice in that crime.
Except in this example company knew and did nothing for years.Fully agree, but a company simply can't control what their employees are doing in their free time. The company is not responsible for the fact that the couple was meeting, having sex, sharing spicy photos, etc. for months, which they probably did in secret and were hiding from everyone, while it was a split of a second when the dude decided to share the photos and then it's too late, the woman is gone and no one can bring her back. It was an awful, gross move from him and he should totally take consequences for that, but like I said, it would never happen is he never had any photos to share, and it just boggles my mind how anyone would want to share such pics with anyone in the company where apparently the sexist atmosphere/practices was a damn well know issue within the company for so long.
AND he was her supervisor as well. That's the most fucked up part. Hope he goes to prison.
This is so fucked up by itself it should basically bring down the whole company. That is beyond fucked up

We used to drink in the office until 2018, when a no-drinking policy was enacted.Drink in the office.
Blizzard was already really tanking from a product portfolio standpoint in my opinion. The push for mobile, the loot crate garbage, shitty remasters, selling collections of games they were previously offering for free... And all this behind the scenes garbage. Holy Calamafuck
This is so fucked up by itself it should basically bring down the whole company.
Having a sexual relationship with your co-worker as a superior generally is an automatic firing. I cannot tie that relationship to her suicide as we do not know the specific details. For what though? Owning a butt-plug?
The only fact offered is that he was her superior; without knowing further details who's to say whether their personal relationship preceded their professional one or whether he was responsible for sharing the alleged vagina pix.
Its kinda worrying to me because ostensibly the complaint is against the institution and its practices and not specific individuals. And yet the way this is couched in innuendo the implication is that the male partner is actively responsible for a death, when an impartial reading of the facts would make him another victim of a tragedy.
I mean, he better had be responsible because if his only crime was to be in an active sexual relationship with a co-worker who chose to commit suicide for other reasons, this is straight-up defamation for political/legalistic expediency.
This guy is an actual turd.
It's a good rule to live by, including subordinates dating their managers. However, that does not make it any less horrible for him to spread nudes around the office. Douchbag probably couldn't wait to "show off" to his co-worker buddies.Having a sexual relationship with your co-worker as a superior generally is an automatic firing. I cannot tie that relationship to her suicide as we do not know the specific details.
But it's a big no-no to date subordinates in ANY professional work environment. At least in all of the places I worked.
People are doing exactly that. Last time I looked Activision stock was down like 2.5% since yesterday.amm jeez I don't know if they're gonna come back from this.
If i bought stock in Activision I'd be selling like crazy right now
WHAT?!!! Maybe in Fantasy Land.Having a sexual relationship with your co-worker as a superior generally is an automatic firing.
Having a sexual relationship with your co-worker as a superior generally is an automatic firing.
What the fuck does Trump have to go with this? Conservatives complain when they are painted with a broad brush without knowing anything about the individual but here you are doing exactly that. Both sides do the goddamn same thing they hate about the other.I mean the people who are in the investigation are game devs and I can bet they weren't voting Trump.
Supervisor from my company got fired after dating one of his subordinates. It varies from company to company. But many companies I've worked for have this policy. Dating co-workers is fine. But dating subordinates in many places is considered inappropriate due to the power dynamic. At least on the East Coast.I understand the rationale but I don't think that employers should have the right to control every aspect of their staff's personal lives and emotions. And its certainly not the state's right to mandate it legally.
In this case I think it is protections for conflicts of interest.I understand the rationale but I don't think that employers should have the right to control every aspect of their staff's personal lives and emotions. And its certainly not the state's right to mandate it legally.
If I understand correctly, people aren’t saying it’s okay to share nude. Why is Activision the corporation responsible for their employees revenge porn?I thought it was shitty Blizzard banning that player for supporting Hong Kong, this is something else though.
Some right shitty opinions in here about that lassy commiting suicide in here aswell.
Just because you have nudes of a lass, doesn't mean ya free to send them all about in the office. Cunt behaviour.

this 1000%.I'm still going to get D2 and the new WWII COD.
Dont care about office politics. If everyone out there really wants to base what they buy on corporate shenanigans, you might as well start digging into google to check for company stupidity and lawsuits because just about every big company has been sued or had people fired. Find enough data and you'll never buy anything.
It's just that for gaming, the industry is so egotistical and public with social media and dirt digging you know more than let's say all the junk that has happened at every office building and bottling plant for Pepsi for the past 100 years.
If I understand correctly, people aren’t saying it’s okay to share nude. Why is Activision the corporation responsible for their employees revenge porn?
