I have no issue with PRIVATE casinos and lotteries, just ones run by state and local governments.

It's not about vices, it's about governments trying to collect more money from society's poorest and most vulnerable when they should be raising taxes on the wealthy instead.

Wait, this seems crazy. Private casinos are almost certainly going to be more exploitative and evil!

And then, on top, taxing the private casinos and lotteries in a way they don't tax themselves.

Also, my state lottery runs with a 35% hold percentage. Most casinos in the state average around 7-8%, by law.

A lottery ticket is among the dumbest bets you could make.
