Thought I'd make a compliation thread of all the records Adele has broken with her album 25 this week.
US:
US Records Broken:
*Fastest-selling album ever in the US, beating *NSYNC's No Strings Attached previous record of 2.43m in 2000
*Biggest album debut by a female artist in the US, dethroning Britney Spears Oops ... I Did It Again 1.32m record set in 2000
*First album to sell over 3m in opening week, projected to be 3.5m
UK Records Broken:
Fastest-selling album ever in the UK, beating Oasis' Be Here Now record set in 1997
Canada Records Broken:
Fastest-selling album ever in Canada, beating Celine Dions Let's Talk About Love 230k 1997 Record setter.
Australia Record Broken:
***Can't find much data for Austrlia, I've seen it posted/rumoured the previous record holder is 160k which would comfortably put 25 as the fastest-selling album ever in Australia.
Worldwide:
Long standing record holder for the most prestigious prize of them all, fastest-selling album Worldwide goes to Japanese artist Hikaru Utada with her 2001 album Distance selling a fraction over 3 million (3,002,720) with 99.99% of sales in Japan.
Adele has so far sold 3m~ in the US, expected to be 3.5m by the end of today. Not only smashing the WW record but also beating Utada's record of most albums sold in a week in a single territory.
Add on the UK 800k~ Canada 300k~ Australia 300k~ Brazil 200k~ France 150k~ And the other 100+ countries the Album has gone #1 in and you're looking at a projected 6m+ WW debut. That doesn't just beat the last WW record, it doubles it.
US:
AN ADELE THANKSGIVING: 3.5M IN SIGHT
Adele’s 25 continues to surge, up 25% from Tuesday. Forecasts now put the megastar’s new set at 3.5 million for her debut week—leaving prior sales records in the dust—and possibly as much as 6m for the season.
The latter benchmark would mean she was more than halfway to the RTD sales on 2011’s 21, which happens to be #5 at iTunes as of this writing (25 remains at #1, of course, as does “Hello” on the singles side).
Will Target alone, with its exclusive deluxe CD edition of the album, move as much as 900k this week? Hold onto your turkeys and stay tuned.
Adele's 25 smashes *NSYNC's record to become the fastest-selling album in the US ever
Adele is carrying on her world domination, with her new album 25 becoming the fastest-selling album in the US 'ever' (meaning since Nielsen began tracking sales in 1991).
In just over three days, the singer has shifted 2.43 million copies, smashing the previous record for first-week sales set by *NSYNC, according to Billboard.
The boyband sold 2.41m copies of No Strings Attached during its first week back in 2000, but she has passed that number with no problem.

Adele smashes Oasis' UK chart record as '25' passes 700,000 sales
'25' has sold 737,000 copies so far this week
Adele has broken the record for the UK's fastest selling album of all time.
Prior to the release of '25', the record was held by Oasis with their 1997 album 'Be Here Now'. The Manchester band sold 696,000 copies of their album in its first week on sale. As of this morning, Adele has sold 737,000 copies of her new album.
The Official Charts Company confirmed the numbers and notes that 'Be Here Now' was released on a Thursday so only had three days of sales registering towards its first chart week.
**7 day figures for Oasis is widely believe to be 764k not 813k, Adele is projected to reach around 800k for the full week.

UPDATE #9: And the Celine Dion record is in trouble, too.
Sales figures as of Tuesday afternoon put 25 at 216,000 through four days. Think another 14,213 Canadians will pick up the record before Thursday night?
Just for fun, here’s a list of the all-time first-week sales winners in Canada since the Soundscan era began in this country in 1995. (We don’t have any reliable figures before that since all sales were based on estimates and record company boasting.)
Celine Dion – Let’s Talk About Love – 230,000 – November 1997
Backstreet Boys – Millenium – 191,000 – May 1999
Backstreet Boys – Black And Blue – 156,000 – November 2000
Celine Dion – A New Day Has Come – 152,000 – March 2002
Shania Twain – Up! – 150,000 – November 2002
