SLAMMA! Adventure Time is back, baby. Missing since the 1st week of June 2015, AT comes back with new episodes this November! Season 7 promises to bring the show back to the familiar AT experience pre-Season 6, and only time will tell if the show has what it takes to win back those who may have lost faith over the past year.

AT premieres start TODAY with TWO week-long episode bombs! November 2-6 will see the premiere of 5 new episodes weeknights at 8/7c, followed by the mini-series event "Stakes" that will run November 16-19 Monday through Thursday, also at 8/7c, with a whopping 8 episodes (two a day!) centered on Marceline's past, present and future. The week will be capped off Friday, November 20th with a back-to-back reruns of the entire STAKES! mini-series starting at 7/6c.

In the interim between the end of Season 6 and the start of Season 7, 4 shorts were released online that were referred to internally as "Graybles Allsorts". These minisodes fall in place between seasons six and seven and also follow a theme. Here they are, in chronological order:

Eh. There really wasn't.

Last season there were 2 main problems:
-A whole stretch of episodes halfway through that made the season feel like a spinoff season, and completely killed the momentum from the incredibly strong start. The episodes themselves were fine, but it was annoying that the focus shifted so far from Finn and Jake. Eventually they shifted focus back on Finn and Jake and everything was good again.

-A LOT of time was spent building to the finale, which then fell flat on its face - a total letdown. The first time I can ever really say that Adventure Time let my expectations down.

Really liked that episode,it was sweet and reminded me of stuff from season 4 and a lot more of the Adventure Time I enjoy. Season 7 is shaping up to be really good again but we'll see how the rest of the week goes.

Thought that episode was pretty mediocre. Neddy was a non-entity and PB having had him locked away doesn't sit well. there should have been more of Neddy exploring (and doing more than shouting in response to what he discovered) and more of proto-PB figuring out how he ticks. with what we saw it seems like she saw he liked the tree sap and then just never tried anything else to help him live life more fully. K.O.O. is always hilarious though.

Didn't realize so many disliked the s6 finale! I loved the ending with Finn— in my mind it didn't necessarily mean that he was a superior being, everybody in Ooo is supernatural. and I also figured that his actions in space maybe wouldn't stick with him completely, that after making his choice to stay in his meat body the offer to move to a new plane of existence would become a blur.

Been on and off with the show since (I think?) season five but I always respected the show for kick-starting the recent wave of great animated shows (Gravity Falls, Wander Over Yonder, Steven Universe, ect) that came after Adventure Times launch. Its a great show but like any series, it got 'mixed' by Season Six (leading to many people feeling mixed toward the show despite it still being good/great).

With this new season, it really feels like they are hearkening back to the original early seasons in terms of humor; the new King of Ooo is really funny, Princess Bubblegum is having her backstory explored (which is very interesting; the first episode of this new season was really touching, as her relationship with her brother was both heartwarming but sad), and I am really looking forward the the Fangs Mini-Series.

Subbed this thread and am hyped to see what this season brings !

This thread reminded me I haven't bought Adventure Time Season 5 yet, so I rectified that, blu-ray should be here tomorrow. Season 7 sounds very interesting, but I will have to wait for the blu-rays to be released before watching (doesnt air on any of the channels I have in the UK). I'd wager season 6 BD is due around April, so not too far away!
