Well shit. That was a really good episode. Easily the best. No complaints other than
I wish Deathlok had more outer cyber parts, specifically the head stuff. I guess they could add that later though
. More of this please SHIELD.

Batteries the CRISIS!
That is the first episode I've seen that I would say was really good. Or particularly good at all, actually. Mind you, I've only seen about five episodes -- I've caught this show intermittently since the pilot -- but all the others have been varying degrees of cheesy and poor quality. Tonight was well done and interesting, and didn't make me cringe once. I'm kind of impressed.

Alright, Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. is really picking up the pace, can't wait for next we- "New episode March 4th!"

Damn it.

Edit: Really glad that they're starting to bring in characters from the comics into the show with
Deathlok, John Garrett, Sif and Lorelei
. Here's hoping they can continue to improve the show, and integrate it further into the MCU.

Not bad of an episode.

Looks like they truly are picking up the pace. Wasn't expecting it to pick up directly after the last ep.

His face is pretty scarred. I'd be surprised if they didn't. Also naming your project Deathlok is pretty grandiose for just a cybernetic leg. :p

Hope they give him a red jumper.

Seriously, she's the cutest little thing.

Good ep, loved it. May is a baddass, holy shit. Fuck you Olympics, right when everything starts clicking....that snowboard course re-design better not be shit.

Great ep. The fighting choreography has improved but the directing and editing in the fight scenes is the most dramatic improvement. Really interested to see where they're going.

Hot damn, that was a great episode and it was legitimately shocking.

Glad I wasn't the only one to notice that the action was significantly improved here. It looked much better.

Shame that we got to wait so long for the next episode, hopefully it will deliver like this one did.

Pleasantly surprised at how good this episode is, definitely the best episode of this season so far. Now if only they can keep this up....

That barn fight was perhaps the most comic-book looking scene the show has done yet.

May all noired and then wet/bloodied up....I'll stop now. >_>

I thought this episode was a step up from the previous episodes (which themselves I liked better than the first couple). The initial scene which sets the stage for the train was a bit awkward though. I understand they wanted to fit a lot into the episode, but the intro seemed really forced.

Two ex-Chuck writers, who together penned 14 episodes of that show, wrote this, This is the second episode of S.H.I.E.L.D for them. They do good stuff. Hope they get more eps of this!

They also wrote a episode of Chuck that took place on a train. They love trains!

I can't actually recall what caused them to be on the train in the first place.

"Hey! We need to chase down some bad guys--"

Now we're on a train.

Yeah it really felt like I had missed an episode, even though I didn't. And the jumping back to different peoples perspectives felt messy.

By far the best episode of the series. It's the first time I cared about the charachters, the story actually felt like it progressed, the humour was fun, and the action was decent.

You can't remember that Quinn (the super rich dude who was funding the experiments that created Graviton earlier this season) was the only guy that had a connection to The Clairvoyant, so Skye started digging for him and tracked a major purchase that he made from Cybertek? They were able to get enough info to know the shipment was being transported by train, to the idea was to track the shipment, hoping it would lead to Quinn, who could then, hopefully, lead to The Clairvoyant.

Was pretty straightforward and clearly explained to me, though it was definitely a quick scene.

Man, I hate the forced comedy on this show. The first 10 minutes or so were definitely the worst. I like that they did a more conceptual episode, but I'm really done with the Whedon-style smartasses that inhabit the Marvel universe in these things. Robert Downey Jr. can kinda pull it off, but it gets tiring very fast if every other character in these movies/shows is a one-liner spewing jokester. I've given this show far more chances than I should have, and while I can see it's getting better, the cinematic universe is just not for me. Most of the movies were fun enough to watch once, and I kinda like the way they interconnect, but this show just soured me on the entire experience. I'll watch Ant-Man when that gets released though - Edgar Wright never let me down.

It doesn't help that I recently started Arrow. Not a perfect show by any means, but definitely more bearable and enjoyable than this. If only DC would get their act together and create something similar to the MCU.

Pretty good episode. The secondary character acting is still pretty messy though, a lot of those italian accents were awful.

HOLOTABLE ON was the best scene. Ward's growing on me because of shit like that. I like that they make him up to be this perfect agent but he's incompetent as shit at anything involving science or social skills.

Feels like we're about to get our Skye reveal in the next episode. Either her powers will come to surface or this "cure" (there's a cure for being shot twice in the stomach?) will do something to her. Anyone notice that she got pale really fast and looked a little greenish in the chamber? Overzealous makeup crew or a hint at something else?

Pale due to cold/bloodloss and I believe the viewing glass had a yellow tint, so being blueish from cold + yellow tint. So I don't believe it's a hint at something else.

I dunno it just seemed kinda instant. One second she was bleeding out and 10 seconds later she was a vampire. For a second I thought she was going Skrull. :p

I think they were just being more realistic with the makeup. Usually when you're dying from massive blood loss, you're going to get really pale (because of blood loss). It's just that they never bother doing that on TV. 1] Because even in death, they don't want to show they're leads not being pretty. 2] Because it's kind of horrific.

First genuinely great episode yet? I think so. I'm pretty sure the people would have been much more welcoming if had they managed to keep this level of quality through the first part of the season. Every character was likeable and useful for once (Simmons keeps being AoS's MVP), and I'm also somewhat happy with their usage of Deathlok, alghough I agree with GuitarAtomik in that they needed to
go full cyborg with him.

Jessica Jones
believe.

Hell naw.
Jessica Drew. Jessica Jones is not just older, but much more mature. A hardboiled detective in her 30's who's sick of her life and used to hang around with the Avengers (actually, she's besties with Carol Danvers).
Skye would be such an awful pick for that. Like, really bad.

I'd laugh my ass off if she turned to be an ugly ass Skrull.

Elizabeth needs to start posting pics like this. So adorable.

She was gorgeous with her hair down and the glasses.

Fake edit: This show continues to baffle me with the way it uses violence. Not a single SHIELD agent carries an actual firearm with them, yet people get shot in the gut and hideously mutilated every other episode. What gives?
