Imagine working on this show and showing that design to the production team. They look at your picture, then at the concept art and then say "ok, I like the red and blue pajamas version better".

So, I don't know if this has been mentioned before, but I was just on IMDB and I noticed something interesting. Read spoiler at own risk.

Ward and Fitz are
only listed for 17 episodes, while the rest of the team has 22 episodes.

Will they be the ones that die?

Show is too light for that.

Nah, they'll
probably be taken prisoner or something and assumed dead until the finale when they'll be revealed to be alive...

I think (last ep spoilers, together with some CA TWS I guess):
May reporting back that "Coulson knows" might be a red herring, meant to throw people off after the events of TWS and their allegiance. May knows what happens to Coulson, but might not be privy to the deeper conspiracy behind all that, while someone other on the team might.

I think that because it would be the show trying to be smart by turning people expectations based on the set up, but in the end being kind of a predictable twist in itself.

Nah, they are probably
on a honeymoon somewhere, clearly they have the hots for each other. Also it would mean a couple less obstacles for Skye-Simmons :3

Wait a second...Cap TWS spoilers again

I have a feeling they introduced Triplett just to have him be the Hydra agent. I hope it's not like that, that would be boring.

EDIT:
Garrett, my bad.

Hmm, that clip was already posted online last week, minus the Marvel logo at the beginning.

But it's... not good.
Deathlok's reintroduction has no sense of mystery, menace, or surprise to it. Garrett and Triplett are just like: "Oh, hey, some guy with facial scars and weird chest armor walked through the door, we're going to shoot him."

Yeah, I'm gonna guess that May is
reporting directly to Fury, and that the "traitor" referenced in the E17 synopsis is one of the recurring SHIELD agents. I don't think the writers have the guts to make one of the leads a villain, and it's not like that's really been set up anyway.

They already burned that plotline with Skye.

I guess this explains SHIELD's stupid terrible schedule:

http://ca.ign.com/articles/2014/03/...nd-captain-america-the-winter-soldier-fallout

If you’ve seen the previews for Captain America: The Winter Soldier, you know that film heavily involves SHIELD as an organization and suffice to say, some big things occur in that movie that will have repercussions on the Marvel Cinematic Universe, specifically where Agents of SHIELD is concerned. When I asked Jeffrey Bell how the film might affect the show, he replied, with a grin, “Well, I would say episode 16 airs the Tuesday before the movie opens. Episode 17 airs right after it opens. So I would suspect that if there were anything to reverberate, it might happen in that window.”

Said Bell’s fellow EP, Jeph Loeb, “We come back on April the 1st with an episode that's appropriately entitled "End of the Beginning.” I think the real question that people will be asking is, who do you trust? When you've got someone like the Clairvoyant that's out there, who clearly is one step ahead of everybody, you know, what is that about? What is that agenda? Who is that agenda? It is by no small coincidence that we're back on April the 1st and Captain America: The Winter Soldier opens on April the 4th. We're back again on April the 7th, and then we go straight through to the season finale."

Loeb indicated the pace of the show would pick up considerably, saying, "This has has been a long, slow fuse waiting for the bomb to go off. All I can tell you is, the bombs are going off. Every single episode is going to have what refer to as a ‘Holy eff!’ moment.”

So basically they had to wait for Winter Soldier since the events of WS affect the rest of the show.

BUT WHAT WILL THIS MEAN FOR BLACKOUT'S LOVE?

What is with this show being so fucking crap at handling
firearms
? It's like none of the actors had any on set training at all and the crew were about as incompetent when it comes to film
shootouts
. It's embarrassing.

The way that scene is directed, it might as well be the pizza delivery guy walking through the door for all the weight his entrance carries.

Paxton has no fucking excuse.

This is true.

I keep imagining what we'd get if they brought in directors and art guys from Arrow, Hannibal, Person of Interest, or Banshee.

THINK ABOUT IT.

The Strike Back guys should be handling this shit instead of the amateurs at ABC. I'm sure Strike Back has a bigger budget (or not, who knows with Disney being there) but it's not like this is a show that requires to blow shit up on the regular.

Edit: HOLY FUCK AT THE WINTER SOLDIER SPOILERS ON FACEBOOK'S COMMENTS.

What in the fuck was that

hotel banter
followed by some obscure reference to something
DUDE JUST WALKS IN THE ROOM LIKE HE HAD THE KEY
casually pick up rifle and shoot directly at the only armored, colorful part of his body
then nothing really happens

It's not that they don't seem capable of writing characters in badass situations, they can't even write them to do badass things that would make said situations badass. That was possibly the lamest thing I've seen on the show so far I think, and episode 2 exists.

Strike Back guys should be doing something more kinetic, like a Punisher show.

This is supposed to be an espionage show set in the world of metahumans and aliens. It could benefit from a more deft hand. Honestly, the closest comparison to this should be Person of Interest, where they have cases of the week, and overarching stories and threats that are dealt with throughout. SHIELD should have a structure like Person of Interest.

I watched it again. The way Paxton
grabed that rifle and fired it
was AWFUL, but I think the camera work was even worse.

That sequence really had an amateur quality to it.

So this show is still not good yet? Sticking to my plan to binge watch the whole thing at the end of the season I guess.

It is. It has improved substantially. The thread has just turned into a half dozen people complaining about shit that hasn't even aired yet because the show is on break and people don't have anything else to talk about.

Not our fault if everything they show is shitty.

I think most of us bitch because we'd love a better show, not because we hate it.

If the show were outright garbage, it'd be easier to just not bother, but instead, it frustrates the shit out of me because it's just good enough to tease how much better it could be.

The show is generally good now. That was a bad clip though.

Eh... the average quality of the last four episodes is definitely better than that for the first half of the season, but there still hasn't been as pronounced or consistent an upward trend as I'd like.

You would have to be insane to bingewatch this. It's tough enough to get through one episode at a time.

This is the type of show that if I got behind I would just delete my season pass.

Agents of Shield returns today with a new episode:
Season 1: episode 16 "End of the Beginning"

Agents Garrett (Bill Paxton) and Triplett are back to help Coulson's team track down S.H.I.E.L.D.'S nefarious enemy--the Clairvoyant. But will Deathlok destroy them all to protect his master's identity?

ep 16 preview.

Why did Deathlok even bugout of there? Instead of jumping thru the ceiling he could have jumped a hole through both agents.

Hopefully
there is a reason he just bugs out. Otherwise, it's going to undercut everything when they say he's "dangerous" and "unstoppable" when clearly, he's very stoppable.

I stopped watching this show around episode 5 or 6. It was a little frustrating. But now with the hype of Captain America around the corner, I thought about picking it up again. Is this worth getting back into?

My opinion, No.

I saw Cap 2 early, and it just made me angry at how shitty they make SHIELD agents look in this show. The action sequences in this show seriously feel like Power Rangers.
