Wasnt Amadeus Cho in the Norton Hulk movie?

Sorta. He's uncredited in the film, but in The Incredible Hulk's novelization, his name is Amadeus Cho and he says thanks to Banner for bringing pizza to the computer lab.

That quote from Blackout is amazing. Maybe we'll get Amy Acker saying to him "I should have been the one to fill your dark soul with liiiiight!"

Cho should not only be asian, but he should be a little younger as well. So basically Kevin Tran from Supernatural, just only a ton smarter than even that character on the show. If Marvel could snag him for the role - particularly for the show - then the show might be saved.

Hell, if they're not going to do the Hulk as a franchise in the near future, they might as well start using some of his rogues and allies as well (I know they already have Glen Talbot appearing soon). I'm talking The Leader, The U-foes, Clay Quartermain (where the HELL is this guy in the MCU?), General Ryker and the Gamma Corps, Zzzax, Wendigo, etc. A lot of the villains might be above AoS's weightclass so they might be better suited for showing up in some of the Netflix shows, but they should at least attempt to establish some of them properly in the MCU (ala Graviton).

I don't even think that
Blackout being obsessed with Coulson's ex
is necessarily a terrible story idea; I just have little faith in this particular creative team being able to pull it off.

I think the tie-in between Blackout and Audrey sounds fine. Whether or not they do it very well, though...

Everything can use Amadeus Cho...it's criminal how ignored he is in the marvel universe.

Amadeus Cho does appear in the recently released animated movie Avengers Confidential: Black Widow and Punisher, at least. It's watchable and has nice art, but nothing special.

While that show was enjoyable, the art was absolutely atrocious. It's a far cry from Marvel's previous animated films like World War Hulk or Hulk vs or even Ultimate Avengers.

Guess we'll have to disagree about the art. It's Japanese and thus more stylized than previous films like Planet Hulk. The level of detail and fluidity of animation is much better though.

Is Cho an interesting character then? My only knowledge of him was from WWH (?) where he just felt boring and made me roll my eyes.

He is a kid genius that always escapes danger because he can do anything including instantly do very precise physics calculations in his brain that translate into slapstick comedy! Oh, and he's got a cute pet.

I dunno, I only really know him from his introduction in the Hulk comics, but I always liked the bit where he realized the only way Hulk could destroy a city without killing anyone would be if Banner was in the back using the real-time physics power all the time.

Which kinda makes Amadeus a little obsolete.

Courtesy of the AoS Facebook page.

don't actually go there, though...some jerk put spoilers for TWS in the picture comments.

Isn't that pretty much exactly what Smallville did with Cyborg? "See, haters, he does look like he does in the comics... albeit only in a three-second CG shot!"

Go find a copy of incredible Hercules ASAP. It is required reading.

You know, I'll take a wait-and-see approach with Deathlok, cause I have no attachment to the character.

I'm gonna keep reposting Brennan's quote cause I still find it so funny.

Marvel.com: When you had that conversation with the producers, what was their pitch to you?

Patrick Brennan:
This is the way they explained it to me: This guy, Marcus Daniels, a.k.a. Blackout, was shrouded in darkness, his soul, everything about him was shrouded in darkness until he comes across this Cello player. And the music was the only light that came into his soul, and it gave him hope and it gave him some sense of what light was. I thought to myself, oh my god, you don’t even need to explain anything else. Because music, to me, is what gets me through most of the time. My kids, my wife, and music. That aspect of it totally intrigued me. I thought that was quite beautiful and very interesting, that aspect of the character.

Edit: Okay, I'll wrap it in spoiler tags.

I'm not even gonna bother wrapping it in spoiler tags anymore.

poor guy, being all earnest and such. how could he?

(also don't see why you couldn't be bothered with spoiler tags.)

Someone should make the crew watch all 10 seasons of Smallville as an education on what not to do.
