I've seen saying this since that scene at the end of episode 3 teased him as a potential future villain/threat.

There's just no way they can take him and there's really no way the show budget will be able to him justice. I dare not begin to imagine how much they'll nerf him. Especially after how they handled Deathlok.

I really wish the show would continue to make up villains/threats instead of attempting to bring in a crazily OP one that even the Avengers struggle to put down...

Marvel got a packed stable of superpowered threats that they could handle. The Cat, Chemistro, Razorfist, The Mandrill, Batroc's Brigade, Dr.Nightshade, Slyde, and The Powerbroker. Just to name a few.

I've only heard of Batroc and that's because he was in TWS for a couple of minutes.

That seems like a very healthy roster to pick some villains from though, which makes it all the more bizarre that they'd choose to use Graviton and Deathlok instead. It's just silly at this point, they must surely know they won't be able to do them justice on the small screen with the tight budgets these kinds of shows operate on.

Well they are pushing Deathlocket in the comics.

Did Garrett not let out two women out of the Fridge too. He said "Ladies" when the two got out together, which makes me thinks they are together or a team

Any twins, sisters, couple, like that in the Marvelverse that could fit into the show?

Would have to look but off the top of my head the only ones that fit that description a couple of Deadpool villains and another set that are Spiderman villains.

did anyone think that
Garrett is dying he want to know what brought coulson back to life

and skye will be miss marvel ?

and coulson will be captain marvel

is it strange for the marvel cinematic universe that i care more about the small characters

I could see the first one being possible.

If the second one happens, I'll cry and stop watching the show. Seriously, it can't go down like that. I just can't.

I wouldn't give up on it, but it'd be a stupid fucked up shitheaded thing to do that will make me cringe for years to come.

And I'm pretty sure Loeb wouldn't do anything THAT fucking stupid.

I don't think he could even if he wanted to. For someone as big as Miss Marvel he'd have to run it by the likes of Feige first. There was even an interview near the start of the series where I think either Jed Whedon or Loeb said they had to run the scripts by Marvel Studios to make sure they aren't doing anything the Movie branch isn't already planning.

The rapid increase of quality in this show during the last few episodes was mind blowing. I started watching it a few days ago and wasn't really impressed at the start, but I stuck with it because I heard it got better. I was not expecting it to get this much better. I can't wait to see where it goes from here and what implications it has on the MCU and vice versa.

I believe people do it because it's happened in the past that people have made "speculation" posts that were actually plot spoilers that they knew about. So it's done to be on the safe side.
And while I understand that fear, a line has to be drawn somewhere or else it's will just lead to pages of barred text.

Pages of barred text is already a thing. While I can acknowledge that it's annoying sometimes, it's the safer option. Especially when dealing with shows that have a lot of leaks.

This has been a guilty pleasure of mine since the beginning. I knew it wasn't that great, but my daughter loves the MCU, and it's something we get to look forward to on a somewhat weekly basis...

Thing is though, I'm wondering if it's really gotten better, or is it just more interesting now with the TWS tie-in, and that's masking it's faults?

Slightly off topic, but I need to check out the comic thread... I recently stepped into the local comic shop for the first time in 20 years, and was completely lost. I'm curious as to what the current runs are now, and my daughter is wanting to start collecting...

These shows tend to get better once the villain is allowed to chew on some scenery. The Clairvoyant being revealed was a huge boon to the show. Also, the new status quo is a lot more interesting than the old one. It forces an arc, rather than letting it limp by on procedural "freak of the Week" stories.

Yeah, Paxton has been great as Garrett, and Ward is certainly better as one of the villains.

I don't mind "freak of the week" episodes, they have their place, but they need to be done well (which wasn't really the case here).

Hell, the shows I grew up on were mostly all "freak/monster/situation of the week" episodes. It seemed like a rare treat to get an episode that covered a greater arc. ST:TNG, The X-Files, etc... I guess both of those tended to be a little more serialized as they went on though.

freak of the week is fine as long as its within the context of the larger arc. They better not FoW and have the larger arc play outside of it.
