Falling skies us commendable in so it has managed to keep intact its ability to rot your brain from sheer stupidity after two entire fucking seasons.

Finally was able to watch the last 6 episode, and can i say i enjoyed every single one. I felt they did the Capt America tie in just the right way. Got me excited for season 2 and i plan on picking up the Blu-ray to add to my marvel collection.

Not reading through the thread as I am still a few episodes behind, but I'm getting all caught up and I am fucking stunned at how good this is getting. First time I've ever paused an episode of a TV show to immeditaely go out and see a movie in theaters before finishing it (Winter Soldier was also a lot better than expected). Just damn. Hope this holds til the end of the season.

I recently finished watching these myself, and the second half of the season really is incredibly good TV, some of the most entertaining television I've seen this year. it really kicks into another gear around episode 13 and never lets up.

That being said, I actually enjoyed the first half of the season a lot more than most people. It was occasionally dull, but I never thought it was pure shit, and always felt like the show had plenty of potential.

Just finished... holy shit.

I agree there was a turning point in quality around episode 13, but really, the sequence from "The End of the Beginning" to "The Beginning of the End" completely blew me away. I didn't hate the first half of the season either, and enjoyed it, but I thought I understood what the show was going to be and had set my standards for relative mediocrity. This was the best subversion of low expectations I can think of in recent memory. Indeed, a lot of the moments I considered seriously weak and rolled my eyes at in some of the early episodes are justified in the wake of some of the later developments.

Bill Paxton as Garrett, Maria Hill and motherfucking Nick Fury getting so much airtime in the final few episodes just came out of nowhere and I loved every minute of it. I have to give props to Samuel L. Jackson. I have no idea what they paid him to take part in this but you can tell he is having a fucking ball with the character, and the fact that you see him walk off in the Winter Soldier... into the episodes of an ongoing TV serial is absolutely masterful. Marvel and the associated directors/producers/showrunners are completely killing it with this universe as far as I'm concerned. The scene with Deathlok, Fury, Coulson, and Garrett when Jackson is all like "if this is all because you misunderstood my 'man' speech..." I just couldn't tear my eyes away from the screen, it's top-tier Marvel all over.

It won extra points for me when Garrett is loading himself into a full-on robot suit and starts monologuing and I'm thinking "are they really keeping him as a sub-boss for next season, come onnnnnn- BLAM!" Made me a true believer in the Son of Coul.

I'm honestly a little embarrassed. I thought I knew exactly what Joss, Jed and Maurissa were making this show and I was so, so wrong. Can't wait for season 2. Or Avengers 2 for that matter.

Considering how much I loved X-Men: DOFP, my biggest frustration is how nonsensical it is for these characters to be in separate universes. I don't want two Quicksilvers damnit!

I just got back from Edge of Tomorrow and I kept thinking back to Garrett in AoS whenever I saw Bill Paxton on screen :D

STOP SHITTING ON MY MOTHER'S HEADSTONE
Should be in the fall, with a break in the middle for Agent Carter, then again in early 2015.

It's so they can set up some backstory and emphasize his romantic rivalry with Fitz, who will join AIM in an attempt to save his brain, thus becoming MODOK for Avengers 4.

Looking forward to season 2. The tie-in episodes with The Winter Soldier are my favourite. Some really good stuff in those episodes.

Given the near-impossibility of making it work as a feature film, I'd love it if they did the Red White & Black storyline if they could wrangle Evans for an ep or two.

So is this actually worth watching? I heard it got better, but would it hit the same notes for someone who isn't a comic-book fan in the slightest?
