They better move him to series regular by mid-season.
They will regenerate a lot of the ill will they had incinerated in me if Ward somehow becomes a "good guy" in Season 2.

They better keep Ward as a bad guy. I guess they can keep him locked up in a cage on the Bus or in the base, or put an explosive collar on him when they use him in the field.

Just can't see Ward ever rejoining the team even as a tense frenemy. Skye will never even stay in the same room with him. May might, but only long enough to finish ripping his throat out.

There's no way Ward can ever redeem himself. No way. He's caused too much death and destruction.

He won't be a regular.
At least not in the first episode.
I like the idea of having Ward, a villain, a bad guy, in the regular cast.
Every other villain can hire him, or torture him, because he has inside knowledge about SHIELD and the people in charge.
Also I do not like scenes, that do not include regular characters, so having ward be the villain, or with the villains, could help there a lot.

), but I'm super curious to see what the Agent Carter plot will be like (especially when we know that the show's fundamentally got to be sort of a tragedy, based on what we know from Captain America 2).
GotG scene set in the '70s with SHIELD trucks at Star-Lord's origin, which is probably where that Kree corpse comes from

Trip and Patton Oswalt need to be regulars. I don't even care if they make the Koenigs the Carmines of this show, as long as there's always a new Patton Oswalt brother to take the place of the last one.
It's like you guys are forgetting that this is a MARVEL tv show villain redemption arcs are not anything new to the marvel Magento being the biggest example he bounces from hero to villain every decade or so.
I have a feeling Ward is going to become more of a rouge character as the series progresses.

I don't see how they can ever bring Ward back. He killed so many S.H.I.E.L.D agents - even if he redeems himself he'll go to a jail or something for his crimes. There's no way things can go back the way they were. At least, I can't see it.

Two reasons why it can happen.
1. Comic world.
2. The fact that so many people feel like he can't come back makes it an enticing "twist" for people who have bad ideas.

Oh, I'm not saying they won't do it. TV shows often make terrible plot and character choices.
I'm speaking simply in terms of I don't see how they could pull it off. If they do something like that I'll be extremely disappointed. Hoping they're smart enough not to.

I don't think they will. The show needs more grey, I think they will keep Ward on the sidelines as the kind of anti-hero character that may sometimes clash with the team, and sometimes end up doing the right thing to stop a greater evil. He was *right* there on the verge of breaking good near the end if his S1 arc. But he ultimately chose wrong and that will haunt him I think.

(For fellow Whedon/Buffy fans) I wonder if Ward could become a kind of Spike character - where technically he falls under the bad category but acts in his own interests and aligns with the team in certain situations when there's mutual benefit. Could be an interesting angle/balance.
