The flight plan I just filed with the agency list me, my men, Dr. Pavel here. But only one of you!
I definitely do not want to see an AoS Taskmaster costume. Barf.

It can't be much worse than the newest taskmaster costume in Marvel Heroes.

Abigail Brand?

Maaaaaaaybe, and the character could make for a nice thematic bridge between GotG and this show, but she was created as an X-Men character, so Fox might have the rights.

Also, given S1, I think people should be a bit more wary of assuming that every unrevealed character or mysterious plot thread is pointing to a specific character/element from Marvel canon. I mean, I'm cautiously optimistic that S2 will do a much better job of tapping into the source material given the improvement we saw over the course of the first season, but cautiously optimistic is all for now. Good thing the Marvel Television SDCC panel is only four days away.

I don't see how they can ever bring Ward back. He killed so many S.H.I.E.L.D agents - even if he redeems himself he'll go to a jail or something for his crimes. There's no way things can go back the way they were. At least, I can't see it.
Plenty of seemingly unredeemable people in fiction who have later come fan favorites and/or relatively good people who have been more or less redeemed in the eyes of readers/show-watchers etc.. Whedon(s) like to do it especially much, see: Angel, Faith, Spike, Darla, Cordelia and a multitude of other cold-blooded or annoying or otherwise unlikable characters in their fiction. Then there are people like Jaime in ASOIAF/Game of Thrones (in the books at least, less so the rapey Jaime in the show), who makes a complete 180 from what he seems to be early on in comparison to how he is viewed a couple of books later.

Way, WAY old.

Also, a mutant. Although they could easily skirm around that part.

She's not that old ffs.

That said, I would say she might be a bit too old for that particular character myself though, unless of course they're making it so Brand would be a bit more 'age appropriate' to serve as a love interest for Coulson or something like that.

Ming-Na doesn't look good in that picture, she looks like she has plastic smeared over her face. Lucy Lawless looks better.

Are we sure Ming-Na isn't lying on her passport because I don't see anyone over 50 in this picture

Wait, what.

(For fellow Whedon/Buffy fans) I wonder if Ward could become a kind of Spike character - where technically he falls under the bad category but acts in his own interests and aligns with the team in certain situations when there's mutual benefit. Could be an interesting angle/balance.

I was thinking this too, Joss seems to like the 'redemption' storylines, however I can't see it happening with Ward, maybe he could end up dying while trying to protect Skye? something like that.

So, is Cobie Smulders back in a recurring role, or as a regular? I don't know how I feel about her as a regular, not because she's terrible, but because she had that cool novelty when she showed up last season. I wouldn't want the novelty to wear out so quickly if they put her on as a series regular.

Doubt she'll be a regular, she works at Stark Industries no?

I'm sure Pepper would let her hang out if it's SHIELD/Avengers business.

Speaking of Avenger business, I'm assuming Marvel's going to weave in the second half of the season to run off Age of Ultron's storyline. Both being a Whedon creation, I'm expecting heavy AoU references.

Figured this would be the case if the back half of season 2 lines up with Age of Ultron like S1 and Winter Soldier.

Let's just hope they have some compelling material for the show prior to whatever big plot twist or development they have planned to tie into Age of Ultron.

I don't really care that Season 1 hinged on the Hydra twist so much, there just wasn't enough compelling stuff up to that point. It doesn't need to push the story forward every episode but man some of those early episodes were just weak as hell.
