New characters:

3:40 p.m: Loeb turns to the producers for info on season 2, and asks him to make announcements about new characters. Tancharoen confirms that Lucy Lawless will appear on the show "playing
a longtime SHIELD veteran. She's tough. She may have a knife that's always by her side. Her name is Isabelle Hartley, and you'll be seeing her pretty soon."

3:42 p.m.: Loeb says the show will be adding
an old Marvel British spy character named Lance Hunter.
Bell says he'll be played by a young English actor named Nick Blood.
Bell: "As far as we know, that is his real name — which is so much cooler than Lance Hunter. He's not a SHIELD agent, he is a mercenary. We are in tatters, everything is falling apart, we are being hunted, the government does not recognize us, and Coulson is reaching out everywhere he can."

Reed Diamond is joining the show as

3:44 p.m.: Loeb suggests season 2 will need a big bad. Whedon says Reed Diamond (who worked with the producers on "Dollhouse") to play Daniel Whitehall, another Hydra bad guy. Whedon is so relieved to be able to say "Hydra" after they were locked down from it for most of season 1.

Unseen missions from Season 1? :O

Possibly that Agents of Shield comic that's coming out this week (?). I think it's called The Chase. It's supposed to take place somewhere during season 1. Could be that it links to digital copies of a couple of those comics. Otherwise maybe deleted scenes or something.

Apparently there are some rumours that Skye could turn into Mockingbird because their back stories are similar, and they said that Skye would turn out to be someone from the comics. Also explains why Mockingbird is the only one who got mentioned in a trailer, and the only new character were they didn't mention an actor. Of course, that could also be because she will turn up later in the season and they haven't cast her yet. Thought I'd share anyway.

Yeah, that doesn't make any sense given that she's an established SHIELD agent like Hawkeye.

Depends on how they handle her on the show though. The MCU changes a lot of details about the characters they choose to use, so it could go any way for now. Depends on how much value you put in the wording of that trailer, but keep in mind that that isn't exactly canon or anything. It breaks the fourth wall pretty heavily, and the first Patton Oswalt-character of that trailer already died on the show. I don't think they mention anything that disproves the theory.

Then again, it's just speculation at this point, and I don't read the comics so I just thought it'd be fun to share. No clue how likely it is beyond the hints I mentioned in my earlier post.
