To be fair to them releasing that May and Bobbi bit, I don't think that for the viewers it was ever supposed to be a case of
. It was always a "what the hell happened there?" kind of mystery and that's still not revealed.
"did Andrew die or not?", since the scene had Strucker running out of the store by himself and hiding in shock

They really stretched the budget and imagination to give us Ward's redemption. No physical actor could do that so they brought in CGI.
