Amazing artist with a voice that is sooooo perfect. Excellent song writing, and some perfect covers. Probably the best version of The Scientist out there, and man does that song get covered. Some cds to check out.

These three CDs are in my opinion her best work. Earlier solo cds that came after her time with Til Tuesday still show A LOT of Til Tuesday in them, which is a definite change from the cds listed above which in my opinion are near fucking perfect.

If you get Lost in Space, get the special edition, for a little bit more you get a full cd of live recordings, unreleased songs, and I think a B-Side.

Bachelor #2 rounds out yer collection with songs like Fall of the Worlds Own Optimist, and Driving Sideways.

Magnolia Soundtrack is mostly her stuff, a few songs can be found on Bachelor #2 but there's some good new stuff.

Also download You Could Make a Killing or just pick up the Cruel Intentions Soundtrack. Both options are good options.

Anyway, I lover her work. Bachelor #2 is the best one, I think.

Highlights: Ghost World, a song inspired by the comic that game us the movie
Fall of the World's Own Optimist-- just a great fucking song, period. Co-written with Elvis Costello.

Oh, and the Seth artwork on the LiS sleeve is also awesome.


I also think her first CDs are worth getting, but I agree that these are better. But the "lyrics" sheet for "I'm With Stupid" is brilliant.

ignatz: you could try and download the songs individually. I wish she'd maybe remix the Im with Stupid and Whatever CDs with her Lost in Space sensibilities.

Im new to Aimee Manns music having heard about her here a month or so ago and I agree she rules!! So far I only have Lost in Space but plan to get Bachelor #2 soon! I was just on her site and saw She has a 2 disc Live CD/DVD set coming out Nov 2nd if anyone hasnt heard!

I have most if not all of her albums.. but I got sorta burned out on her in high school.. then magnolia came out and everyone got her albums.. and back then I was really into this whole 'Im unique' kick so I stopped listening to her. Of course back in the day, anything that wasnt played on MTV I took to be underground

She is still really awesome though.
