I'd love a nice pair of shoes like this. I could wear them to work since we have such a casual dress code, but I just don't know what I want. Are these shoes even comfortable? And the pair that dskillzhtown posted...What does something like that run? I dig that look.

Depends 200-225 some releases are more expensive than others.

Nah, it's because people have different opinions than you do.

On-topic: I'm partial to the XX3's, and had several colorways for them, including the Wizards and Bulls ones, which were super rare. I wish they would re-release them.

I'm quite new to the scene myself. I wasn't intending to pick up the multiple 1s I have now; just the UNCs, and that is when I learnt more about the sneaker game in general. Since then I've grabbed the Cyber Mondays, Metallic Blue and Banned. Missed the Black Toes because of time change/adblock. Planning to get the All Stars and maybe the Black Yin Yang on sale as I like all black as it goes with my smart-casual look most of the time (or bum look at other times). As a sneaker, the have a classic yet timeless look, far superior to some of the frankly ugly other silhouettes Jordan has. I'm only really a fan of the 1, XII and XXXIs.

Like anything, it can be a slippery slope. I came from buying sneakers once every few years to whatever it is today no thanks to those OG re-releases.

On the topic of Space Jam XIs, they were easy to cop in the UK. I returned my pair.

I have more Js than I would care to admit but to address the OP, the shoes in your pic didn't sell out immediately so that is an indication of overall interest/secondary market value.

I slept on those cause I hate the cheapy looking gold. I coped the Black Cat 13s and almost pulled the trigger on the CNY 12s and the BHM Trunners last weekend.

Prolly gonna get the OG 13s next.

I believe this all depends on the type of shoe and what you're using it for. I take good care of my shoes, but my running shoes - which I take fantastic care of, just like my other shoes - need to be replaced 2-3 times a year based on the mileage I put on them. And I already stretch them past the recommended limit. I would imagine it would be the same for basketball players as well. There's a noticeable difference in how a new shoe feels compared to one that's seen 500-600 miles of running.

Yeah I can't think of too many shoes that would last 5 years of daily use outside of some combat boots or Timberlands. Also if you're wearing the same shoes with every outfit you probably aren't too concerned with fashion in the first place...

The Bred AJ6s will always be my grail. Never had them, and i'll be trying my best to score 2 pairs on the next release.

Next grail for me are the Bred AJ11s.

The low-top variant AJ11s release throughout the year. I'm eyeing the UNC AJ11s coming out in a couple months.

But to answer your question, the regular AJ11s get an official release every December. 2015 was the 72-10s and last year were the Space Jams.

Bred 13 for me, I wanted the 72-10 but I got the space jams already.. I could try flightclub but the prices are insane.

Nah.

Unless by "daily", you mean that you wear them to your office, where you proceed to sit down for 8hrs and then go home & take them off.

The most use my AJs get on a single day is when I go to a theme park (I live in ORlando) and wear them. Typically, I only wear my AJs on Casual Friday at the office. Maybe once on the weekend out with the family.

Bred AJ13s are getting a release this year. Not going to lie, I'm looking hard at them.

And yeah, secondhand market prices are insane. I just don't do it. Either retail (which is already inflated IMO) or nothing for me.

I would collect Kobes if I had enough disposable income for it. Just picked up the Kobe 11 Draft Day from eastbay cause they're currently on sale for only $90. Joins my Kobe 10 "Emerald City" pair.

Eye of the beholder. I find some good, some not so much. But that's the beauty of it. Everyone can find something that they like when it comes to sneakerheads. I'm personally more of a casual/skate shoe kind of guy, but I would rock the hell out of some Jordan 1's

Edit: unless we're talking foamposites. Those are ugly as sin and Nike should be ashamed

OP, save some money to buy the Royal 1s that are gonna be dropping in the coming months. You won't regret it :)

11s are my favorite sneakers by far.
Wear my Georgetown ones every once in a while.
Always wanted a pair of concrete 3s as well.
Also always wanted to get a nice pair of Foamposites as well even though they're super chunky. Had a chance to cop the dual pack for the white ones when I was in Chicago but couldn't do it.

Most of the time I just rock simple runners like flyknits or ultraboost when not working these days.

Play indoor ball in Kobe X but looking for something wider.
Favorite bball shoes for performance was actually the old John wall reeboks (before he left).

Seeing how much people spend on shoes makes me feel a bit better about my video game addiction.

If I could afford both I'd have a ton of balling shoes, too.

I'm actually right there with you OP. I hadn't gotten a pair of J's in years, but those Royalty 4's peaked my interest. I know a friend who knows a friend, and he got them for us. Got the fresh black/gold heart Comme De Garcon cardigan for valentines day too lol.

I got those, and these Obsidian 1's.

My friend, I dunno if he's a collector, but he has some red 1's, Royalty 4's, Legend Blue 4's 72-10' 11's, the new Space Jam 11's, and some OG 14's

4's are the best imo, I do want a pair of grey 11's though.

I find most Jordans to be ugly, (I'm more of a canvas sneaker kind of guy) but If someone offered me a pair of I, III and IVs at a reasonable price, I'd jump at it in a heartbeat.

Got these a bit early. Absolutely love them. The Jordan 1 "All Star" features iridescent panels & highlights on the lace tips & bottom of the sneaker. Really cool looking.

Stopped copping Jordans for the most part tbh. Quality is way down, price is up, and most of the releases are ugly as sin.

Edit: Okay, I'd probably go in for a pair of true blue or OG 3's again, or another Blacktop 1 release. I'm weak.

1s will always be my favourite.

I only like OG colourways.

The prices are crazy now and they re-release em too often, kind ruined the magic. I pretty much only wear huaraches now.
