Refreshing Sony's store hourly for this to show up digital. I always mess this up, but I think PSN updates later in the day. But last time Neptunia PP showed up around 11am for me Pacific time (on the Sony store not through my Vita).

I wouldn't check for another good 3-4 hours it is still a bit early I think. Plus with Gamescom and all, in which they might pull one of those "...aaaaand it is available for download NOW".

Watched yesterday the OP of this game and I didnt even thought it existed a game like this. Seems pretty crazy in a good fun way. Perfect for my vita I said, and thank god the game releases on it.

Im from europe so i will have to wait till october :(

I have some questions though.

Are there any maajor differences in the PSVita version and PS3 version, like graphics, loading times etc...

Will the DLC be released in europe also?

The PS3 version has bigger, easier-to-read text and more detailed shadows for the characters, but also takes longer to save and load your game (as it has a separate system data file to save, which the Vita version does not).

The Vita version has AR mode and slightly better framerate in some circumstances, but some of the text is so tiny that it can be hard to read.

These are all fairly minor differences, though -- for the most part, the two versions are more or less the same game everywhere that counts.

Will the DLC be released in europe also?

NIS America would have to answer this for sure, but I can't imagine the answer would be no. There's no reason it wouldn't be.

Should I wait for the Vita version in Europe, or should I just go ahead and download the US version?

There are going to be a lot of DLC clothing items and alternate character models, so if that's a concern at all, you might be better off waiting.

If you don't care about DLC, though, or if your PSN region is set to North America, the decision is entirely yours.

slightly jealous of the people getting it today, but I'm holding out for the ps4 version. what I've seen of the ps3 version looks a little frame-y in places and I'd love to have the slickest version. that, and a reason to play my ps4.

My copy should be showing up from amazon hopefully in the next few hours. That's what I'm hoping at least so I have something to do when it gets slow at work.

Cheers, I have access to DLC from NA and it works out to be quite cheaper. Prob jump on the PS3 version then.

Thanks for the answers Tom. Its strange that the vita version has better framerate, but good to know! Hope the text issue isnt that bad.

Little bit sad that NISA are the ones that bring the game here, they are not really good at bringing games to europe (no multi localisation but still being more expensive than buying the american version, not enough games at stores, no sales whatsover in the online stores...) I dont know if they will bring all the DLC, I hope so but Im not confident now knowing its NISA.

I should note that some of the DLC will be paid, if that matters.

Only character-specific swimsuits, though.

Just wanted to say thanks for bringing these kind of games over to the West. I pretty much live for these kind of titles on my Vita. Really appreciate the hard work.

I'd assume soon. I'm seeing the web browser store being updated with some games & sales. Always seems to be random, though. I'll post the links once I see them.

Anyone know when the download becomes available on PSN. Presuming there will be a download avaible.

Could be within next hour-all the way to the afternoon. Just have to keep checking. I'm sure the minute it shows up on the store digitally, someone will bump this thread and let you know. I'm checking at the top of every hour.

Just picked it up at Best Buy. After a preorder debacle, I ended up checking out the rack and found one copy sitting there. Unfortunately, I'll have to wait until after work to play it.

I decided to pick it up on Friday, together with Disgaea 4. It'll keep me busy when I'm heading to Gamescom this Saturday :D

Brilliant. Tried too many times so I can't buy it now.

Sigh... The things I do for games. Heading out to buy a PSN Card till I get this mess sorted out.

props to xseed on the script. they didn't go overboard with the memes, very well balanced.

*whistles innocently and hopes you don't notice all the well-hidden memes*

;)

Actually, Hatsuu was pretty adamant about not including too many memes, so we basically only used them wherever the Japanese script used them, or on very rare occasions where they suited the situation and translation perfectly.

Ok, I picked my game up and am currently enthralled in it (had to tear myself away just to write this lol) and here are my personal thoughts so far:

Dub- I'm amazed at the awesomeness of the English dub Xseed graced us with. The characters are pretty spot on from what I've heard thus far. However, I'm still somewhat on the fence regarding Nana's voice. While I love her lines, her voice is still...eh to me but I figure it'll grow the more I hear it since I've only had one encounter with her so far in the game. A lot of the lines have forced some good laughs from me and Nanashi's choices when responding to others range from standard to WTF to downright silly.

Gameplay: Of course I'm already familiar with the gameplay mechanics since I had the import a good while from Japan, but being able to actually understand what's going on and know what choices I make when going into shops or being given my tutorials makes it so much better. Now that I know what to do more clearly, I actually have to reteach myself how to execute combat commands more strategically this time around (yes, even in a chaotic beat em up, I strategize my gameplay...) to make my combat far smoother and more efficient. I really love the smartphone in the game and the user interface is awesome

Music, graphics, etc- Love listening to the bgm. The recreation of Akiba is fantastic as I love the attention to detail and am in love with the video ads of the games shown on the numerous jumbotrons in the city.

That's it so far. Not the best impression summary I've ever written but I'm still early in the game and ready to make a beeline back to my Vita. Ciao!
