Please do not let me serve on a jury. I am actually a crazy person.
Hahaha, I miss Valvrave. It was stupendously bad in season 1 but became decent in season 2. Always fun to watch though.

How do you dare.
Spoilers Valvrave s1e4:
I had to watch that scene 10+ times. I've made people watch the first 4 episodes of valvrave and then drop it just for that scene.

During that week, i randomly burst into laughing just by thinking about it.
That's how good Valvrave was!

Slain was definitely in the wrong here.

Inaho let Slain be his ally because he said "The enemy of my enemy is a temporary Ally". When they established communications, Slain was talkative with Inaho. After the battle, Slain said that the princess was alive and he wants to meet her. As far as Inaho knows, only the rebels who created the original assassin plans know that the Princess is alive, not to mention the fact that Slaine could be a martian from another territory or a double agent sent to kill the princess again. Inaho asked him twice on how does he know that the princess is alive, Slaine went from talkative to being quiet. Inaho gave him multiple chances to answer and Slain assumed that the humans are abusing the princess and trained his guns at him. If you rewatched the episode, you can see that Slaine shot first and Inaho shot back in self defense.

Inaho knew that winning the war would be impossible without getting the princess's help, which he talked to her about in the previous episode. Either way, Slain should have answered Inaho's questions and the situation would be diffused.

Okay that makes sense, still think Inaho is dumb as hell for just jumping to the "my enemy" conclusion though I guess 99% of the time him doing that works out so murr

Slain didn't answer and pointed his guns for no reason at Inaho. he was the one being stupid there.
also, he shot first *while Inaho was still there and not after he fell off* but missed completely from that distance? Doesn't make much sense.

this episode was definitely better than the last 3, villain#3 was still shit etc. but at least the fight was less boring and dumb than usual.

Episode 7

The earthlings found Yamato
.
that's what I thought too, lol.

I'm assuming that in the next episode Inaho will end up in the "demon mech" and save the world, yay.
along with banging the princess at some point
I still think he's an awful mc though.

Episode 7

So the cat's finally out of the bag.

How are they powering the Yamato battleship again?

EDIT:- Oh duh, I forgot the Princess had the powers of Aldnoah granted to her via her direct lineage to Grandpa Emperor.

See if Ei Aoki storyboards every single episode himself, even when the script gets super dumb we can still talk about how the action is entertaining. :p

I dunno man, he still keeps thinking he can choreograph a decent dog fight but he's dead fucking wrong. His sky sequences suck.

Isn't Slaine father one of the researchers for the Aldnoah drive, maybe Slaine can power up one too?

One day I realized that sadness is just another word for not enough coffee.

You mean Slaine barrel rolling for no damn reason wasn't amazing dogfighting?

I keep watching this show and I don't know why. I don't particularly like it. But I feel compelled to watch it for some odd reason.

FUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUCK. By the end I was SOOO hype.
Finally he figured it out! And you'd have a Martian on the good side but nooooooo :( Also that new Martian Kataphrakt looks fuckin awesome

The rest of the episode was kinda junk though

Episode 8

Holy shit, that Saazbaum dudes Kat is really freakin badass looking.
Its a shame Cruhteo got squished just like that when he finally realized what was going on.

I'm rooting for Slaine x Seylum now. Dude has suffered too much!

Actually smart of Saazbaum to kidnap Slaine instead of killing him off. He was asleep when Cruhteo put the pieces together so Saazy can just say hes on the good side. Use Slaine to find the princess, then kill them all together. Smarty pants.

Cool episode. Seylum is the cutest.

This show is funny as hell.

I LOVE how Slaine said he wouldn't give up the princess then few minutes later he does the exact same thing

Aldnoah Zero episode 8
God Fucking damnit! Just when we were going somewhere Count Cruhteo gets vaporized and Slaine gets kidnapped again. FFS, will someone give the poor kid break. I hope Count Saazbaum eventually ends up drowning in a puddle of his own blood.

Lolz that was so obvious, what a fool. He's pretty much the same character as you know who.

Rayet mentioned one of my issues in how dumb a monarchy system is (these were modern scientists on Mars afterall), maybe it's actually a plot point now. I wasn't expecting it to be brought up at all with how dumb everything has been.

Episode like this was necessary, trying to inject some characterization even if it wasn't much, better than nothing. A lot of it was wasted time still.

Getting kinda boring with how paper thin the cast is. I still find it amazing Inaho didn't change his expression once even though that's the usual. All I really want is Slaine and Seylum to be happy but I guess the show is going to keep shitting on Slaine till it ends.

Ep. 8

Slaine getting slapped around again, talking heads, birds, backstabs. Slower episodes are needed as well, but I want my mecha action.

At least Slaine can now steal/receive a mech from Count whatshisface's corpse, so he can be a proper raibaru like the director wants him to be.
This show is a total tease: First Slaine and Inaho have a fight that could have been resolved with a single sentence but NOPE, and now that the Count was about to contact the Earth Defense Force he gets vaporized. I bet we'll get something similar in the next episode.

Saazabum must obviously need Slain for something else, he ended the call to Crouton as soon as it appeared that he was gonna kill Slain and headed over to kill him first. Saazabum has an ulterior motive using this war as a cover.

Hopefully Inaho and Hime-Sama can save Slain!

duh? :p he obviously wants to detach aldnoah from Vers bloodline, a bedridden Emperor with no heir... he might also need the research of Slaine's father to make this transfer possible.

and don't think so about that, next step of Saazabum's plan is probably to declare Cruheto as the traitor planning the assassination, he will nuke the castle too if needed, then tell Slaine about it and he's the proof that such conspiracy happened. Then he just uses Slaine to get to the well guarded princess. Slaine is the enemy from now on, I bet.

Yeah piss poor attempt on my part for the obvious direction this show is heading lol

Slaine could have avoided all this by simply telling Inaho da God who he was, but chose not to.

Anyways, I was a little sad that they left the Martian robot behind, maybe Inaho will get one elsewhere. Maybe
Count Cruhteo's robot.
Or he'll just bring down the Martian empire with his training robot. Either way works I suppose.

A poster on another form I frequent jokingly said it's possible Inaho has a form of a high functioning autism. While that is almost certainly not the case, I do think that would have made Inaho a lot more interesting.

Does anyone know of an anime/manga that features a protagonist with some kind of disability?

"Believe me, I'm on the princess's side! I'd never betray her like those other Martians did! You can totally trust me! Now please take me to her!"

On the Terran side, bunch of happy moments where everyone, except Rayet, accepts Asseylum and she gets to be amazed at how beautiful Earth is. Then quickly scene jump to Slaine getting beaten and tortured.

I just want Slaine to have a happy end.

Episode 8

That was pretty entertaining. It was surprisingly over the top and fun considering how there wasn't even a real mecha battle. Felt like 24 minutes of something you would find in a Metal Gear Solid game - exposition, flashbacks, characters talking about how beautiful things can be, long ass torture sequence, and then a big plot turn at the end. I'll definitely like more of this in future. Slaine is definitely being developed as a survivor type character. Being able to take that much punishment is good news, because I don't really want to see him in a mech - I want to see him going melee and guns on the Martian traitors. Much more satisfying.

I wonder if they're setting up Saazbum as the main villain for this season. It would be nice to see them take him out by ep13 or something. As if it wasn't obvious enough that Aniplex really wants this to be their Gundam clone, his mech looks so much like the Banshee in Unicorn. Lol.

Man if they really want this to be their gundam clone they gotta step the shit up with the battles. Since most of the time its dumbasses standing around doing nothing.

That was a pretty decent, interesting ep though.
