What 180? He went from a good for nothing loser who destroyed the person supposedly cared about and everything important to her TO an loser who is imprisoned the person he cares about and is continuing to destroy things important to her along with the people who hate her. He is a jackass of a straight arrow.

If I recall they didn't say he was out of comission for so long, only that he was returning to their unit. I'm pretty sure he's been busy going all over the front to activate Aldnoah drives for the terrans. The martians mentioned there were several castles that had surrendered, I suspect he had something to do with them.
Inaho is the one that declared Slaine his enemy. They were never on the same side, even though Slaine risked his own life to save the Terrans for Asseylum's sake. Those two were never going to get along after Inaho fucked him over, and anyone that blames Slaine for that is likely a Inaho fanboy.

What show have you been watching? Take off your hater goggles. Slaine has done everything he could to protect Asseylum, having exhausted all available options whilst protecting her from afar when he remained with the Vers Empire, up until the point he defected. The guy hasn't once acted selfishly. I doubt he would've aligned himself with Saazbaum after trying to kill him minutes before if it wasn't for the sake of saving Asseylum's life - who, by the way, is in a coma and not locked up in some dungeon against her will.
Inaho stabbed Slaine in the back like an underhanded coward. He never got close to kicking his ass. If Slaine hadn't shown up, Inaho and the rest of the Terrans would've been dead.

You are totally denying that the end of the last season ever happened. I don't blame you. I'm just wishing Slaine's mother fell down the stares when she was pregnant with him. I think we're on the same page.

lol so Slaine keeps being terribad and needs an Aldnoah powered mecha to even stand a chance against Godnaho. I'm kind of sad they made Eldurrrrrrrritttooo into a nothing character again, I miss the humvee driving maid.
Dare I say this was actually a good episode? I hadn't expected Slaine and Inaho running into each other once again so soon. The opening appears to indicate these two may join forces somewhere down the line, likely for Asseylum's sake, but before they do, I want them to at least battle it out once, or rather, I want to see Slaine humiiate Inaho and deliver him his first resounding defeat as payback for his betrayal last season.
Lol...Slaine's in such denial And they needed to equip him with device that predicts the future...on TOP of the best aldnoah mech to make him be able to survive an encounter with a damn training mech
Come on writers. Villains are supposed to be at least a bit competent
Inaho showed more emotion in that opening than in the entire first season, my god.
I think I would've liked this show better if Slaine and Inaho were fighting on the same side from maybe near the end of the first season. Call that generic and overdone and unoriginal or whatever, I still would've preferred that.
Just checking in for this week's church... Fuck Slaine... praise be Inaho.
Also just like Slaine to seem competent on barrowed power. You can even see the writer is trying to force competence into the loser piece of shit character.
Listen to this: Not only was Slaine aware of whose trying to kill the princess for a good part of last season but also knew who on earth was keeping her alive. He wasn't concerned about Inaho's threat of using the princess, he was concerned about his chance to bury his tiny little dick into the princesses thighs and duped you into thinking its genuine concern for the glory and wellbeing of the princess. There was no doubt this was about power to make the princess his and little to do with the princesses wellbeing when Slaine decided to switch to the side that was living la vita loca on his back when the give him his freedom because things were going to shit. Not only did the slave decide to help his master but went as far as to help his master after his master shot his pussy prize in the head and turned her into a salad bar. To the duped, it just looks like Slaine-sama saved the princess because he knew only his slave masters good help her in her current condition but lets face facts, he wanted kill Inaho who had already bewitched the princess and didn't care what state the princess was in as long as she wasn't with Inaho. He wanted to take the princess and get as far away from earth as possible even when it was clear who the princesses enemies were. He ignored the fact that the enemy has tried to assassinate the princess twice. He ignored the fact that they framed and beat and framed him to shut him up. He ignored the fact that there were internal conflicts in mars politics he could do nothing about. He ignored the fact that mars was the aggressor and willfully committing genocide of his human race. He ignored the fact that he was human. He ignored the fact that the only reason why the princess was alive was because of earth. He ignored the fact that mars just murdered (for all he knew) the princess in front of his eyes. He willfully shot the person he knew was protecting the princess. He believes the only place the princess could be safe was with him. That thirsty ass simpping fool just wanted to remove obstacles and make a deal with the devil to toss at the princess salad bar. I know you're slaine fan because you seem to ignore all the facts too.
lol @ some of you Inaho fanboys. Are we supposed to ignore the fact Slaine pulled off a similar feat as Inaho in the previous episode, without a bionic eye? More to the point, Inaho has been covered in plot armour since the very beginning so don't even try that shit as far as Slaine's competency goes as a mech pilot.
Wow back to back good episodes to the start of this half. WIth both powered up fights can be more interesting than when it was everyone else but Slaine show. I wonder how far they can take their relationship this season on other lines. Motivations would imply Slaine would eventually defect or Inaho would and both join the same sides to achieve the same goal. That would be what is necessary in order to right the wrongs of the people of vers, as well as resolve Earth conflict, though I dont know how theyd go about with the sharing of Earth resources.

This made me cringe so bad I pity you if that was a genuine attempt at being funny. I can't even be arsed to attempt to dismantle your delusion.
I'm being serious! This show is all I live for and I took the effort to meet your views seriously so I would be honored to hear your thoughts on the matter since these discussions have the power to change lives.
it's like the show runners have noticed the #teamslaine movement and inserted it in the show as that servant guy, constantly praising Slaine for nothing at all.
The OP is better than the first one but that's a low bar. It's ok.

Inaho needs a magic robot eye to do anything also. The gods of plot smile upon them both.
Lemrina's jealousy fits pretty well with all the ridiculous character motivations in this show. I wonder how they'll revive Asseylum again when she inevitably pulls her sister's life support somewhere down the line.
Will any non-Inaho Terran do anything useful ever? Why don't they equip the robot eyes on everyone else's Kats? Why hasn't any other Terran decided to study physics?
Aside from that, the Martian side continues to be more interesting than the Terran side.

The Marsian ruler is so inept it hurts. "Hi Grandfather I'm not dead but in wheelchair. Let me stay here for two years and lead the attack on Earth" -
"Sure honey whatevs"
And with how freely the fake princess roams the base it's safe to say there's not a single loyal to him soldier there.
Given the martian command structure and the fact most of their military has been in Earth's orbit for 15 years, I doubt most of them have any idea about what's really going on with Emperor Vers.

Why do I have a feeling that Inaho and Slaine are going to end up alone together without weapons, beat the shit out of each other, then become comrades or something similar. Feels that's what they're setting up. Other than keeping the princess "alive", I'm not sure what Slaine is trying to accomplish right now. Maybe I should go rewatch the first episode of this season again.
Also the sister princess' story is so by the books, that it's kinda boring. Hopefully the go full crazy with her or something.

One of the best episodes. The less Inaho the show has the better the quality of the episode by a really significant amount. Slaine is still the best, Inaho is the fucking worst.
Bringing her out of thin air (no references in S1 that I can recall) and Slaine's 180 not being part of a master plan to achieve Asseylum's goals is just ridiculous plotwise. Still love the show though lol
