I really liked this episode. When Slaine asked about meaning of war, that was clear reference to what Inaho taught Asseylum. To be completely honest, even though she couldnt shot Slaine - I love OG princess after this episode. We see how Inaho influenced her idealistic demeanor. She accepted his way of thinking (which you could call grounded/realistic/slightly cynical) but still was able to completely reject warmongering BS Slaine was trying to pull.
Also, I disagree with the notion that left eye is frying Inahos brain. If that was the case to even slightest extent he would instantly end up vegetable. Whats happening is as he told Inko in episode 2 hes feeling more and more pain since he doesnt use pills. Pain is more apparent after he extended neural link.
Also for people who think ANZ will end up with sad/unfulfilling ending I beg to differ. There is no manga (which is usually responsible for unfulfilling part). Now the sad part there is trend in anime to not have happy ending (since its more mature/realistic this way), but when you see popularity polls SAO is so high for a reason. It might sound childish or whatever but I believe most people would like to see happy ending. Also Im pretty sure Aniplex learned from Guilty Crown ending debacle.
People tend to think Inaho will die, but I personally believe thats not the case. Writing on the wall seems to be way too apparent, and one think we all should have learned about ANZ is that to expect unexpected (season 1 finale anyone?). Only 3 episodes left
dunno how will they ramp this up, but if there are plans for season 3, Inaho-being-a-martian theory might finally come into play.
