Are you playing on PS4? If yes, is there screen tearing?
None.

Ok, just bit the bullet. 39 bucks for Nostromo edition.
Reviews are right up my alley, I want to immerse myself in this so much.

The Alien can be quite quick when sprinting. It had plenty of time to rush the player when he turns away.
None.
But it didn't seem the alien knew the player was there, and in fact in the last second the alien is show he was past the door frame, once at that point there is the wall in between him and the player. And also the player doesn't seem to have made noise running or using something to attract alien attention.
It's still well in the door frame when you last see it. That gif is just the player screwing upBut it didn't seem the alien knew the player was there, and in fact in the last second the alien is show he was past the door frame, once at that point there is the wall in between him and the player. Maybe Jim should have 'chose' to save after that event. Like you probably would have done. With manual save points - it's your own decision whether to save or not.

I'm really having a hard time believing those benchmarks, seems way to good to be true.

In less than a week, or more precisely on 07 October, Alien is: appear isolation for PC, Playstation 3 and 4 and Xbox 360 and One. Ahead of you has provided us with the updated RTM (Release to manifacture) available. We have unceremoniously through the beginning of each level with a R9 Radeon 290X and a Geforce GTX 980 and some screenshots created - both full-and Ultra HD. Since we could find no other UHD monitor on the fly, we had to create the latter via DSR (downsampling). A direct 1: 1 comparison will be REPLACE at the appropriate time.
A few short key variables for Hardware: A Core i5-4670K and R9 290X we had in Full HD permanently FPS in triple digits, up to just under 250 was also the case with the GTX 980, simply because the CPU limited. So the house, nameless engine knows quite hardware sound actions, so you will also middle-class PCs on Ultra settings with SMAA-aliasing can play (besides FXAA the only available mode).
One reason for the low hardware-hungry the narrow corridors are likely to represent, at the same time allow very high resolution textures with moderate VRAM usage. At no time we were able to observe an occupancy above the 2 GiByte. The "grimness" is, moreover, so wanted to restore the film atmosphere, but can be either reduced or switched off altogether.
I've played the preview version a bit and it looks like the player turns and tries to escape. Alien in the game reacts immediately to steps and to running sounds and attacks, plus that tail is really long. Should've just crouched and stayed hidden.
It's the kind of game that I think would be ok at 30fps,so might be able to run it at 4k downsampled to 1080p (970)It's good though, the IQ i'm gonna get from downsampling will be glorious.
To pick this up or not to pick this up, that is the question. Vids and stuff I've seen looks really good and reviews are favorable, I'm in a conundrum.
FFS the people defending what is obviously broken is hilarious.
30fps with occasional dips, I think.Is this 30fps or 60fps? On X1/PS4.

Oh okay.30fps with occasional dips, I think.
Um, that's Shadow of Mordor.30 on both, PS4 is 1080p, XB1 is 900p. Here's the Digital Foundry comparison.

FFS indeed. There is no way the Alien could move 15-20 feet in the time it takes them to quickly turn around while it is still in the door way and walk round a table let alone hear them. complete bullshitFFS the people defending what is obviously broken is hilarious.

edit:
are these benchmarks based on the highest presets available?

It was sarcasm lol, people are lucky the Alien's host wasn't a dog, Gaf would meltdown with teleporting theories.look at the tail, it doesn't need to run that far to "get you"
long tail is long.
FFS the people claiming a soundless GIF signifies a broken game is hilarious.

I wanna say it will? The Jim Sterling video floating around is from the PC version, IIRC, and he uses a controller in that. To top it off the store page says it has full controller support.Does anyone know if the PC version will support controller?

I'm genuinly curious how this game isn't 1080p/60fps on both consoles considering how well it runs on PC. I mean a $80 GPU can outdo them!
