Good news is that we now have the tools to actually learn and not "believe" in whatever at face value (or invent incredibly convoluted explanations): it's called "scientific method".
And take it from me, a guy who's entire profession (Pharmacist) up to the 17th century (or so) was based almost entirely on witchcraft, miracles, secret potions and alchemy altogether.
As I said before, logic dictates that the most likely solution or answer, ruling out the impossible, is the simplest one. What once was known as spells, later became preparing solutions. What once was known as "element" (like water), then became a compound (H2O). All of that was possible by following the scientific method.
So, what once was called a UFO (in the 80s I believe), we later knew it was the
B-2 stealth aircraft the USAF was developing. What some people thought were UFOs, were actually SpaceX satellites. So... maybe UFOs are actually us in a time machine? other civilizations? spy drones? who knows... but until now, the best possible explanation we have is that those are man-made machines (since evidence over time has suggested that, when you rule out the impossible).
