That's the thing with Microsoft, they have all the money in the world to launch day-1 titles.... Sony doesn't. Sony doing that would hurt them.

Game Pass was always going to be better, simply due to Microsoft having all the money in the world to make things happen more quickly. I do think Sony should have made it a bit cheaper to sell the product better, though.

At the end of the day, Sony is giving you options. If you want to stay on the same tier as you are now, you can. If you want the extra tiers, you can. I personally don't care either way. I'll probably get the premium tier due to the streaming aspect and the extra games. There is always Game Pass there if you ever want to get an Xbox.

Those 400 games are also going to include PS5 versions of PS4 games and PS4 versions of PS3 games. Doesn't change what I said whatsoever, there are over 400 games on GP regardless of what platform they originated on.

Yeah this is not some amazing new service from a consumer perspective. From a business perspective it allows Sony to roll all their subscriber numbers into one without having to specify which tier they are on. Does this simply allow Sony to shout about the 50 mill + subscribers they have to their "Netflix for gamers" sub service and gain a bigger piece of the pie chart than Microsoft?

Bummer that we cannot have ps3 games locally and have to stream them. The PS5 should be powerful enough to handle PS3.
For the normal gamer, there isnt a better way to enjoy gaming either on Xbox or PS.
Just sub to one of the subscribtions and immediately have access to 400+ Games.

I think the PS model will be more successful, because it is Playstation.. as soon you add the name Playstation on something, it will sell like nothing else.

BTW: Can we stream PS5 games? If yes, do we have forward compatibility like xCloud on Xbox One consoles?

At the end of last year TrueAchievements had the total games on GP listed at 430. Bit of a quality difference with a lot of the titles too.

Overall, a total snoozefest as expected. Basically, it's just a way to get PS+ for a little cheaper for those that stocked up a few years of PSNow with cheap keys from CDkeys. (This cheapass bastard right here)

Your phone can play persona 3 easily
