lol at Jozy trying to claim that.
The ball was within six inches of his head, his gravitational pull definitely influenced the trajectory

Nice pass and a great final set of touches.
Two goal lead, give me some Kempin.
Kempin didn't suit up. Sorry. Hoping for lots of subs though.
Wow. Great angle of the Bradley goal: http://gfycat.com/SnoopyBoldCalf
Missed the game, was watching the Serie del Caribe final.
Was Jones good, or did Panama just not do much on the offensive?

Carry over from the WC qualifying elimination game?
The New York Red Bulls officially unveiled the name and logo of its USL Pro affiliate today. Red Bulls II join as one of several expansion sides affiliated with MLS teams for 2015.
The organization is in the final stages of naming a coach and securing a secondary location for matches in addition to Red Bull Arena. More details are expected to be announced later this week.
The New York Red Bulls recently announced the formation of a reserve team that will be named NYRB II. However, the front office seriously considered using Empire Soccer Club, but was unable to reach an agreement with the Empire Supporters Club over use of the name. The name Empire SC would have honored the original, unused name of the club (pre-dating MetroStars and Red Bulls) and the Empire Supporters Club (which formed in 1995).
In November, the front office (specifically the marketing team) contacted the supporters group about using the name Empire SC in USL Pro. The name had yet to be approved by higher-ups within Red Bull, but the front office sought the consent of the supporters group in advance.
Somewhat surprisingly, the name was signed off on by ownership in Austria and the front office was ready to go ahead with Empire SC pending approval by the supporters group. Empire Supporters Club board members requested a meeting with the marketing team and General Manager Mark de Grandpre to iron out details and provide a list of provisions to the club. After the meeting, the supporters group would put the reserve team's usage of Empire SC up for vote by its members.
Unfortunately, at this meeting in January, the club and the supporters group were unable to come to an agreement. While the marketing team was able to push through a name other than "Red Bulls," the standard Red Bull jersey design and Red Bull crest with "Empire SC" in the middle was the only design option discussed (in order to maintain aesthetic consistency across all of the teams Red Bull owns). Supporters group leaders did not "want the name Empire SC to be integrated into the Red Bull brand," and negotiations hit an impasse.
According to a source close to negotiations, "The badge being the run of the mill Red Bull badge had not been considered by ESC. It immediately killed any enthusiasm for the project."
A few observations:
MLS is known for its parity and it shows. The top team has got about 1.7 times more points per game than the worst time. For the Premier League, it is about triple - the champion gets about 90 points where as the bottom team gets around 30
The top two teams are no surprise - they each have 3 DPs, including superstars like Keane, Dempsey, Donovan etc... However, Toronto landed at the bottom of the table. Lesson: It is not the money that counts but the smart money.
A relatively low budget team RSL has done surprisingly well to take the third spot. More over, they have shown remarkably well in terms of consistency: in their best year, they got 57 points, but their worst year they got 53 points, less than 10% down. Additionally, they got 56 points in each of the other three years.
DC United and San Jose Earthquakes on the other hand are most inconsistent teams. Both had very good year as well as very bad years. In their bad years, they got less than half of their good year points totals.
Most teams alternate between good and bad years
However, there are two teams that show year-over-year improvement for last 4 years: New England and Vancouver.
Philly signed a 6 foot 5 CB from Benfica who kinda looks like Luis Suarez mixed with one of the Property Brothers.

If they did that most of the supporters would go to USL Pro games instead of MLS ones.
But despite all the criticism they get, they came up with the idea, and they were willing to do it (all the way up the hierarchy to Austria), and it was the supporters group that nixed it.
