I really hope I have a shot at getting my Wave 4 preorders in on Amazon. I have Prime so the free shipping would be sweet ^.^

Kind of? It's hard to say. He's definitely one of the more rare amiibos, and with Nintendo being dodgy and obtuse on how they plan on distributing older amiibo's, you may just have to start hunting.
 
Fox was just in stock at Amazon US, had 4 available. I clicked "add to cart" and they were sold out. Damn.

Fair enough, I should've preordered I guess but counted on Nintendo not understimating demand on this stuff.
 
Most of my dreams last night consisted of constantly checking for the Ness amiibo and finding him to be sold out. There's only three amiibo I'm interested in and I'm already having nightmares...
 
Not liking the sound of Falcon availability. How is Pit's?

I might be willing to offer a generous trade if anyone has an extra of both...

Ask Azula to add you to the AmiiboGAF google doc. There are a few people that have an extra Captain Falcon on there, so that may be an option (unless they are looking to trade). There's a store near me that will have him every so often. The last two times I've been there, they've had him in stock. I should just buy one next time I see him in case someone here needs him.
 
So no word yet on preorder huh? Guess that's a good thing cause I'd have been pretty mad if every online store pulled a Target while we all slept and put them up in the wee hours of the morning, only for some idiot named John to snag them all.

Was going to run out there to try to get some extras for this thread. But it was an hour drive. :(

Hmmm and if all other stores are saying it's not a thing, then I don't see why this store would have them.

Yeah, its a bummer. I really hope Nintendo has somesomething planned (besides cards, gross) to make these more widely available. Offer them through their own website or something.

Bummer for people looking for the harder-to-find amiibo. I'm glad I have both trinities since I'm hoping to have all of the collection someday.

If that's Wave 1 being restocked, I wouldn't be surprised if a Wave 2 restock hit in the next couple of weeks.

I think it's more that they are a very conservative company, and would rather undersupply and adjust to match demand (or accept a certain level of unsatisfied demand) rather than oversupply and see stock massively discounted or run into issues with retailers. That's a trait that has only become more pronounced during the difficult last few years for the company, as they have less margin for error with large investments like Amiibo (in terms of production, production capacity, storage, distribution etc. this is a bigger deal than a 3DS game underperforming; in some ways it's like a new hardware release).

Kind of makes you wonder whats the point when the ones people are hunting for aren't there. Oh well better than nothing.
 
Nintendo World only has the Mario Party 10 with Mario amiibo for pre-order. No wave 4 or Super Mario Series.

Yes. I really wanted to get extras for all those that needed those two. :(

Not going to drive 1 hour out for some basic Wave 1's though. Boooo.

Twice, I've asked for my avatar to be amiibo-fied but twice I didn't a response lol. Oh well that's that.

Any word on when preorders will be up for the new waves? That and Marth restocks.

I laugh at them cuz I got like 4 online in the comfort of my home. I would never wait in a line all night. When nintendo does limited, they really mean it.

I'll get on it. Sorry if I missed it earlier. I'm on the West Coast and was sleeping the past 8 hours. I recently went into remission for Cancer. I'm still weak. So I get really tired early and go to bed earlier than usual, and tend to sleep in late.

I'll do it now.

Does that means its safe to use my money on something else? I won't get anymore money until the beginning of February and i don't want it to be sold out by then. Theres some great sales but I don't know what to do. O_O

Its never safe, is it? :(
