This is awesome
Really weird. The page now isn't showing any wave 1 except Fox. And not much from wave 3. Gotta just be a mistake?Looks like Amazon cleared out a bunch of Amiibos. Theres only store pages for some Wave 2/3 ones now...
What good would spoiler tags do? Can't non-members see that the same as all of us?......use the spoiler tag pls

It breaks my heart to think that some d-bag is holing up somewhere with a bunch of Rosalina's just waiting to scalp people. I know it's true and it happens everyday, but still... now that I'm invested in amiibo's and this community I don't want to see people get left in the dark.

You can only scalp something that's limited in supply. It's nintendos fault for not meeting demand. If these were everywhere, the scalpers would move on.

Oh no, stop this. It's not Nintendo's fault that people are assholes.
Just a follow-up, I peeked at the Amazon seller forums and there was a discussion about the MM 3DS XL getting so many negative reviews due to the scalpers and how it might end up changing policies on these items. It might seem weird, but Amazon cares a lot about the reviews that users leave for items. I wonder if that's behind the potential change.
Scalpers are a reality of the market that everyone has to deal with. Nintendo is the only one that consistently has troubles with it though. I also think they like seeing it happen.
Amazon needs to stop letting people post reviews on things they haven't bought. That'll stop review shirting easily.
Not true. I had some extra GameCube adapters that I sold before Christmas so I could buy Christmas presents for my family. Am I an asshole? Maybe. But if Nintendo wasn't incompetent and met the demand themselves, I wouldn't have been able to make a profit. People selling rare and limited quantity items to make money is a reality of the marketplace since...well forever.Oh no, stop this. It's not Nintendo's fault that people are assholes.

It's not like I held a gun to anyone's head. They freely chose to buy the items when I threw them on Amazon. I did it because it turned out I didn't need them and I wanted to make some money so I could buy gifts for my family. There are some people that will call you that, I won't. They call me the same thing. I've come to accept that some people will always hate scalpers and that's their right. So I just stopped engaging them.
Not sure if I want to get into this deep of a discussion at 8:40 am, and god knows I don't want to disagree with my amiibros/amiigals.
I think, if you want to argue that morally/ethically scalping is wrong, then yeah -- philosophically, you would put the blame on the individual who is doing the very thing you think is wrong (although keep in mind if you are approaching it from this aspect, not everyone shares the same moral compass of what is right or wrong. Certainly, scalpers won't agree with you).
But I still think this comes back to Nintendo not handling Amiibos right. They've completely under-supplied them. They have failed to support them properly (if they want to say they didn't know they would sell this well, okay. But there is no excuse for them discontinuing amiibos that only had one run, and that were supply constrained to begin with). So in terms of physical terms of cause and effect, Nintendo NOT supplying these enough, certainly does causing scalping. If you want to argue that people still make their own choices, that's fine.
Although keep in mind, scalpers would not exist, if consumers weren't willing to pay the insane prices scalpers list. Consumers play a role in scalpers existing too. It's a result of a company NOT selling a product that people want badly.

What made you so sure that he live in Michigan?
They've been de-listed, Duckman. Nowinstock is struggling to keep up. Mine has caught up and shows out of stock, but for a while all the de-listeds were showing available. If you leave the page open it will catch up.
So when can I expect Shulk & Sonic in the States?
Congrats Azula, glad you got her! Really cool of you, ThisBeJason.

Any extra Rosalina's I get, I'll give away free, as I don't need one now. If anyone can't get to Target on the 1st, and wants me to try to get them one, PM me. I'm compiling a list now, and whatever extra's me and my gf get, will go in the order of the people that messaged me. ThisBeJason of course will be the first person on the list.
I lost a lot of PMs by accident (deleted them on my phone). So if you have messaged me before, message me again. Here is a list of amiibos I have going out:
* Villager (EU). It comes in tomorrow, I will send it out free to Masked Man as I promised.
* Marth (EU). Comes in this week. Bought it for kierwynn and will send it out as soon as it comes in.
* Fox (US) two of them come in today. I will send out one to Brian tomorrow.
* I have ONE extra Fox if anyone needs it.
* I've promised to buy three people in here Villagers off Amazon.de in Feb. I also have some other people I will get Amiibos for that they needed.
You can justify it however you want in your head or shift the blame around. That's cool.
If you look deep down inside, you know buying multiples of something retail that you don't really want just to resell it at ridiculous prices is not a nice thing to do. It's not a situation you'd want to be in if you were the person who was left without.
No, it's not life or death and yeah, Nintendo should have kept up with demand better and people should calm the fuck down and never feed scalpers, but it's still an asshole thing to do.
I'm not saying I'd be above doing it if I found something rare at a garage sale or swap meet, I'm just saying I wouldn't brag about it.
I'll take that Fox.Any extra Rosalina's I get, I'll give away free, as I don't need one now. If anyone can't get to Target on the 1st, and wants me to try to get them one, PM me. Congrats on getting your Rosalina, Azula! She's one of my favorite characters and most-wanted amiibos. Mine's on the way from France. I half expect Target to have plenty for everyone in store on the 1st, but I love the security of not needing to worry about it -- just in case![]()
