By the way, here's how Play-Asia packaged my figures. I'm so mad at them since shipping was very expensive. I won't ever buy anything on this website. Nippon-Yasan did a much better job for me... Is there anything I can do about it?!

Apparently the online release date is 2/1.

Which is stupid since they released them in stores today and they sure aren't mass shipping them on a Sunday.

I just wrote this post but I can't see it showing up on mobile so I'll post it again, sorry if it shows up twice.


I kind of like the rarity here in Australia.

EB preorders last at least a week for the rarer characters so it's easy to not miss out, but everything sells out at launch so it feels like all my figures are nice and valuable, I know they'll never be filling the bargain bins like Skylanders do.

Sucks how limited it is in the US with online preorders going within hours.

Got my Meta Knight and Sheik today at the post office. A few people have complained about Meta Knight having a very poor paint job (lots of black marks on the face), but thankfully mine's not bad at all. Sheik, on the other hand, seems to have a slightly coloured face from her hands.

Funnily enough, when I got back home I found another notice on the doorstep telling me to collect a second parcel on Monday. Lol. I'm guessing that'll be Rosalina and Bowser, but I've also got King Dedede, Ike and Fox on the way from Amazon.it and Mighty Ape. A friend of mine has ordered me a Toon Link from Amazon.com, and on top of that, I've got backorders for Pit, Falcon and Shulk from Amazon.it and Mighty Ape (they're waiting on more stock).

I'm going to be receiving a loooot of parcels in the next couple of weeks. *_*

Sad day today, I woke up at 8 after getting home around 2AM (from work) and slept around 4AM. Made my friend come with me to lineup at an EB.

Canada really, truly sucks on the Amiibo problem, trust me. I just wanted an extra Ike! I will never find one lol, glad I still had one.

I also had my first Ike + DDD + Samus come in from Amazon.ca but delivered to the post office, the tracking said it was there but the lady there said she didn't have anything yet...

They close in 2 hours but I'm so tired I probably won't go back till tomorrow, eh.

Also couldn't get a Shulk or anything extra from EB, but my Sheik and Bowser shipped from EBgames.ca. Someone local from NeoGAF is selling me their extra Shulk and letting me have it first though, really really nice of him!

The only good thing is that my friend was able to get a Toon Link, due to port strikes they didn't get all the figures so yeah.

Collected my Bowser at Gamestop today. They didn't get any other ones yet they said. Shulk they said 2/13.

Anyway, I told dude I was picking up my Bowser, and he was like we didn't get any in (meanwhile I called right before I went and they said yes). I was just waiting in line for 25 so I almost ripped his head off "WHAT, I CALLED?!", he goes "Woah I was just joking, I'll get it from the back."

Kirby has amiibo support for Meta Knight and I bet BB is going to want to have them out so people can buy Kirby and the amiibo.

If you have preorders, just be patient. If not, make friends with people that have two! =P

How did I just now realize Toon Link unlocks Link's costume in Mario Kart 8? Now I've got the Samus, Kirby, Link, and Fox costumer unlocked. I might buy Yoshi just because he's common and his costume looks cool.

Too bad I don't like any of the female Amiibos, so my costume collection will never be complete.

I went to GS to put a preorder down for Rainbow Curse, and paid 55-ish dollars for the N3DSXL (cheeeap). I saw that they had four Bowsers on the back shelf, so I asked if those were up for purchase, knowing that they were for preorders. And I was right. Cashier was hoping that with wave 3, this problem would be sorted by Nintendo, but I have my doubts, seeing that GS's shelves don't look much different for the Amiibos. At this point, there needs to be like a cycle of stock, because I do not think they'll sell these Wave 1s much more. I mean frankly, I'm fine with 2 Kirbies, but I'm not really itching to buy a second Wave 1 figure, unless it's the Holy trinity to display at my work desk.

I just took a trip up to my local Target and the dude in Electronics looked up how many Rosalinas they would have for Sunday. His screen said they had 56 in the back room. I know the numbers seem to be all over the place based on what I'm reading here butter what its worth I'm in Metro Detroit and you literally can't drive for more than 10 minutes in any direction without hitting another Target.

Umm, I don't think it's nearly the same. I have no intention of using the figure but I do enjoy collecting them and not opening them and keeping them in their boxes.

Interesting to see the opinions on this.

Many people buy rare items such as Collectors Editions, rare games and limited edition consoles etc due to them being a rare and collectible item with value.

Do you really think all the people that got that special anniversary PS4 are actually using it?

You can see plenty of sealed collectibles in many pictures people post here of their collections that include Amiibos.

This is getting ridiculous.

I buy 1 of each and display them in their box. Currently trying to find a good case to display them in their boxes.

Just because I see their value and how it can increase over time is not a bad thing. It's what collectors do. I also keep track of my collections worth for insurance purposes. There is a lot of money in my man cave.

There's a difference between selling something at an inflated price as soon as you buy something versus keeping something sealed in the event that it might be worth something someday in which you yourself will probably not be the one profiting from it.
