No he's not. It just says add to cart because the figure is technically released and you can in store pick up it. The figure itself is not available for ship to home or store.

edit: Little Mac is now out of stock at gohastings

We really should make a google docs spreadsheet of what is available where. Keep it in the OP and update it as we see fit. I just don't want to personally have to do it is all.

Nintendo is a video game company, not a toy company. They don't have the production infrastructure in place to support the crazy demand for these things. Unfortunately that means some will be axed earlier than others. We've already seen it happen and will continue to see it happen. If there are any Amiibos people are interested, or even remotely interested in, they should just preorder to avoid the mess. At this point, that's the only way your going to find the ones predicted to be "rare". As the Amiibo brand goes forward I'm sure Nintendo will make the necessary steps to ensure they can keep up with demand for future games.

This is a new venture for Nintendo and I'm sure Nintendo is learning from it.

They're also very conservative spenders. There's no way they were ever going to produce more figures than they could feasibly sell even in an optimistic scenario. I'm sure the Amiibo success has pleasantly surprised them, but you can bet that not being 'prepared' for the demand was deliberate.

That said, they're bound to look at future Amiibo production differently, especially if they continue to create compatible software to feed demand.

Why the fuck can't I check out on Toys R Us's Website? This is stupid.

edit: finally, took like 6 tries. Anybody know if Captain Falcon is available anywhere?

Best buy just told me none of wave 2 comes out until Friday. Canceled my little mac Diddy and zelda pre orders and got zelda next door at target.

Very worried how wave 2 part 2 will go with my pre orders there. Nintendo has this all botched.

My friend just went to best buy too when they opened. They told him he couldn't buy zelda until the 17th. Luckily for him I hid one in the target next door in case they were sold out.

Ordered two of them. Donkey Kong for my cousin (he's 5) and Pikachu for me. I will secretly train my Pokémon so it can crush him every single time.

You also have to keep in mind that these are Wii U toys specifically at the moment and they're probably underestimated the desire for these considering how the wii u has been selling.

Very true but they're made for a game that Nintendo expected to sell well. It has sold well, that's my impression anyway. If the 3DS version was any indication of how well the definitive version, the Wii U version, was suppose to perform then I'd like to believe Nintendo could use that as a prediction to understand how popular the Amiibo's would become, at least in North America. Somethings associated with the current Smash games have sold out and demand is still strong. Game Cube Adapters come to mind and the official smash controllers seem to be drying up as well (here in Canada). We don't know when or if Nintendo will reissue production for certain Smash Amiibo's once the entire roster line has had a run. The demand is still there though. They've under estimated demand for Amiibos but I still think they just don't have the capabilities to keep up with demand. The infrastructure just isn't there.

This is something I did not consider.

The past couple of days I checked out two GameStop, Target, Walmart and Best Buy locations, in the Milwaukee & Waukesha area, and came up with zilch. One Target had pegs for Diddy, Pit and Little Mac, but they were cleaned out. I made one more stop to a Toys 'r Us, last night, and found a lot of Zelda figures. So, if anyone in the Brookfield, WI area needs a Zelda?... There ya go.

ha, this is the same store I got my zelda figure from. I was going to stop at target near there too, but glad I didn't bother.

True but they're selling beyond what im sure they expected as well. Hell people are buying these when they don't even own the system.

The collection grows! I had Samus since launch but just picked up Zelda, Mario, and Link thanks to the 3/$30 deal at Toys R Us. Great price especially up here in Canadia since they're $14 each normally.

They can't even do an actual street date FFS. That's nothing to do with being able to manufacture shit, and everything to do with terrible management.

Really? Have you got a source? I'm in NZ and will be seriously pissed off if this is true. Don't they like money? They're flying off the shelves here.

Where've you heard this? Doesn't make sense to me, shelves are almost always sold out.

EB has them for preorder but I doubt that means much.

Based on what? They're selling out just about everywhere where I am (Adelaide). I went looking today at like ten different stores and only saw a few Mario's and Pikachus. It wouldn't make sense for them to not do Wave 3, surely?

Mates at JB. They're not hearing much good out of Nintendo and they don't even have Wave 3 as an option to pre-order like they did Wave 1 and 2.

Ho-lee shit, what a train wreck.

I had all six of wave 2 pre-ordered at bestbuy.com for in-store pickup within a few days of them showing up on their site. When I got my email notification for the order being ready for pickup, only Diddy and Zelda were listed. But that wasn't the end of the hassle...

So I get there to pick them up and the clerk at the customer service desk was having trouble processing the pickup. Apparently in their system, both Zelda and Diddy had street dates of 12/17 and therefore it wasn't letting them do the pickup. They ended up having to take note of the order number and such to do a "downtime pickup" that they'll put in their system on the 17th, but let me take 'em home today.

I really wish I hadn't canceled my Amazon pre-orders for wave 3 when I saw bestbuy.com had 'em, especially after I've been screwed twice; I never got my Marth or Villager from wave 1. Ended up having to find/buy them elsewhere.

tl;dr- DON'T pre-order amiibo from Best Buy. They're a fucking train wreck with their inventory.

I have to wonder how much money made off of these considering the supply and demand.

Seems like they're not shipping enough at times, but demand is crazy high because of it.

Still going to have to preorder Shulk this week and then see Wave 2's stuff.

But...but meta knight

So who decides the release dates for this stuff? I mean even gamestop who is notorious for having a strict release date policy seems to have started selling these on the 12th. Yet i've personally had target tell me they cant sell them till today and best buy seems to have a street date of the 17th. Is this because wave 2 is split up?

I found two Diddy Kongs in the wild at Target. Now that I have two, I think he'll make a good sparring partner. At this rate I will never see a Little Mac in a store, though.

At least they gave them to you. I got forwarded to a social media consultant to try and figure out this fiasco. I had to write them a summary and show emails and pics I took in store because they didn't understand why I was upset and why I am concerned that I may not get them. Sadly I have all of mine minus exclusiveS through them because of my GCU membership.

Gamestop is still taking Shulk preorders in store. They aren't taking preorders for Luigi/Falcon/Pit though. All wave 3s are available in store as far as I know.

I'm in the same boat. I wish I had pre ordered somewhere more reliable. I just had to run all over the last two days to get these three and I don't trust them in the future so I'm sure I'll be doing it again.

So I bought a diddy Kong because of the whole omgthisshitgonnaberare thing that was going on. I really don't want it, even if it is gonna be rare.

Anybody want to trade for it?

Or I suppose buy it it. I'd rather trade, but if I can't find a trade I like then maybe I'll just take money.

I'm pretty god damn lost on this whole availability thing.

My local Walmart had all of wave 1 in morning of launch. They have zero of anything new.

My goal was to collect them all. I live in Canada. Do I need to start preordering? I was trying to buy them in store so I could select the better paint jobs as they can have radical differences.

I didn't realise this was going to go down like this. Maybe I should just back out now lol.

I'm sure people would kill for ALL of wave one (Marth,Viallager,WFT)

They had tons in stock day 1. Was easy grabbing as my local Walmart. They were said to be a high stock store by the nintendo rep that was there but than they have nothing today.

So Im pretty lost. Why would the next waves not be handled exactly the same. Give a date. Put them on shelves.

If nintendo is pulling some limited make this the toy for Xmas bc you can't find them bullshit I will call there bluff and peace the fuck out now.

Demand has gone through the roof, especially now that it known some figures are limited prints. Scalpers have made the situation much worse. Pre-order what you want.

Just went to best buy they swore to me my preorders were in the back but couldn't give them to me till the 17th and 19th. Couldn't explain why though. So I have to make 2 trips for figures that are seriously sitting right there

Yep, speculative buyers/collectors are in the game now too because of the news of limited runs for certain amiibos and resellers are obviously buying up a sizeable chunk of the supply. I think people with no knowledge of amiibos or intention of using them are blindly buying them too now just because of stuff like the double-canon Samus, no-legged Peach and now dual-wielding Marth selling on eBay for thousands of green-backs.

The number of "factory defect" amiibo auctions now is just ridiculous and only adding to the hysteria.

So is Fox getting hard to find now? All the best buys near me don't have him anymore.

I went to 8 different stores today and didn't see a single one.

Glad I went out today. Fox McCloud joins my party! I found two at Ft Wright KY Walmart, bought one. Found another Fox at Newport KY Target.

I completely forgot to check Meijer and have yet to get down to Alexandria Walmart.

No Diddy, Mac, C.F., Luigi, Pit, Villager, Marth or WFT anywhere.

Refreshing the Rosalina page got me thinking about potential retail exclusives down the road. In future waves I could totally see:

Best Buy - Duck Hunt
Toys R Us - Jigglypuff
Gamestop - Ness
Target - Wario

It's not right... not... right...
Ness, Ness, Ness, Ness, Ness, Ness, Ness, Ness, Ness, Ness, Ness, Ness...
Arrgh! Yaagh!...
It hurts, Ness...

If this happens, I'm blaming you

I don't think retailers will have more than one exclusive amiibo.
At least they better not.
I wonder what Walmart will get as an exclusive (or if they even care to have one).

Does anyone else get the feeling Luigi will be common? A popular character, a Mario Bro, and he is/was part of that Loot Crate thing.

Speaking of which, anyone get that, and are you happy with it?

Villager, WFT and Marth were not in it and I don't have to tell you they're the rare ones.

So is Fox getting hard to find now? All the best buys near me don't have him anymore.

The Toys R Us I was at on Friday had like 50 each of Samus and Fox.

edit: Whoa. Just double checked. Totally out of stock now. It looks like all the earlier rumors of them getting harder to find has freaked people out into buying him.

I'm starting to think that some of this is basically a self fulfilling prophecy.

Thinking about how Robin Amiibo would look. Male and female version Back to back with swords crossed and holding magic book with opposite hands.

So awesome.

My Target had all of theirs in the back. Don't give up the hunt it is 330pm here and they just didn't stock them. So ask nicely and maybe get hooked up
