Same thing happened to my pre-order. I got 3 different excuses from 3 different people; the 1st guy claimed their shipment was accidentally delivered to Best Buy. The 2nd said they were never shipped, and the 3rd guy blamed Nintendo for only sending 1 Lucario per customer, instead of 1 per pre-order.

Yeah same here. I have 25 Amiibos and I've fought the good fight and I just can't do it anymore. I'm tired of this crap. I'll just buy what I can when I visit stores normally and if I can't, oh well.

I wouldn't expect Pac Man to be too hard to find. I didn't pre order Charizard or Pac Man and don't anticipate them being in low supply.

As long as you don't mine waiting a bit post-launch, you'll easily be able to get Pac Man. He's pretty much guaranteed to be a common, easy to find character.

Wave 4 + Greninja went up and sold out in the span of a few minutes at TRU at 3am this morning.
I'm going to watch Amazon like a hawk today for the Splatoon bundle, but I'm screwed if it goes up between 1 and 4 EST.

Well this has been fun so far.managed to get the 5 core amiibos and splatoon 3 pack but am 0/3 on the exclusives.
Little disappointed but looking forward to the hunt over the next 2 months, hopefully i'll get them all.

Since Wave 5 is only Palutena and Dark Pit, there is a good chance that the whole Wave will be retail exclusive in Americas.

I swear I think Gold Mario has had more availability than most of the Smash rares with how often he appears back in stock.

Mac and Dennis spend the entire episode trying to scalp off a shipment of 100 Peach Amiibos for 40 bucks each. Charlie somehow gets his hands on a bunch of Marths which he sells for dirt cheap because 'the faces freak him out'.

Wal-Mart has handled their exclusive pretty well (even though it is a case by case basis on the employees in the brick and mortar stores)

Exactly. I think the panic here is a little high at the moment when we don't really know how this wave will do in stores. If you told me that Mega Man and Sonic would be commons a couple months ago, I would have laughed in your face. I think Pac-Man, Wario, and Charizard will be commons. Robin and Lucina is the questionable one right now.
If people missed out on the recent preorders, all hope is not lost. More preorders will open I highly expect, just like all other waves. These retailers have to play it safe right now with the preorders to avoid the debacle of earlier waves. So, TRU and Best Buy and Target are not being jerks, they are playing it smart and only allocating so many that they highly expect to fulfill. Better to only have so many available for preorder, then have more waves of cancellations right? Keep checking this thread to be on the look out for more preorders. They will come!

Producing amiibo is not a cheap process. On IGN's NVC podcast, they said it takes a good month of production to produce amiibo to satisfy retailers. Nintendo does not have unlimited funds to produce millions of amiibo to make everyone happy. This is not their main business. They are still a video game company. Companies have budgets, and their main budget is not amiibo. Grant it, we all wish they would make more and more, but that is not the case.No he still seems pretty rare, but there were multiple times where he would be sold out in 2 minutes and resurface later. That is to say, he isn't a "one and done" like some of the other Amiibos.
Huh? I'm not sure what you're saying. Even if no one wants them, it doesn't matter to what's being said. And I wager plenty of people will still want them, at least Charizard and the Pac.
