It didn't actually do that, though. If it did there wouldn't be so many people paying child support for children conceived when they thought their partner was on the pill.
Men who don't want to be fathers shouldn't be putting their faith in the pill or any contraception method that requires someone else to use it. The only sure fire way for a man to have sex and not risk an unwanted child or relationship is to not put any sperm where it could fertilize an egg.

That's also true, they removed most severe consequences for both parties. But men were always more like that and many times didn't give a fuck about babies they have "somewhere" there in the world. Women were stuck with those babies for years.
Haha, no I'm not right wing at all - I'm pretty much in the center but that will make me right wing for many leftists. Pills allowed women do to a lot of things without life changing "punishment", it helped them in marriages when partners are like fucking machines and would have made them pregnant every year (we all know families like that). It helped them to have sex with many partners without worry about having kids with one of them and being a single mom after that etc.
Pill is a positive thing overall in my opinion but as a man you can't be certain that woman it telling you the truth so always wear condom (plus it protects from many other things).
