Amplitude (Harmonix) PS3/PS4 - KS (Funded, final day)

Agreed, Frequency had almost no bad songs. Amplitude has quite a few cringe-inducing ones, but the highs are REALLY good(Shades of Blue).

My favorite Frequency track was Higher Ground.

Never played either game, but looking at the tracklist for Frequency: oh my god yes, so much better than Amplitude. At least the Spotify playlist they posted as an idea of what they've been inspired by for the new soundtrack looks good! (Also now I wish there was a Marnie Stern song in Rock Band.)

What actually got me into the series was the free game thread here on GAF. Someone mailed me a sealed copy of frequency and a copy of amplitude for free!

SO CLOSE!

This thing looked dead in the water a week ago and they are only $45K short. It got that much in pledges just this morning (I'm US East)!!! Just upped my pledge to $40.

I mean, this article is positive (I think?), but man that fucking headline makes my blood boil.

Well, given the reasons that Sony isn't funding it, I don't think it's strictly inaccurate.

I'd put my name in for the vinyl, but with a caveat that I wouldn't use it, I'd only want it as a collector of cool gaming stuff. If that's a no-no, I'm happy to withdraw.

I do wonder how many people signing up for the vinyl giveaway actually have a turntable... but I suppose it's somewhat fair to want it as a collectible or something?

Little over $40k to go with 26 hours left.

I want to ask HOW THE FUCK WAS THIS POSSIBLE? Like, what did I miss between Sunday and Wednesday?

I hope they allow you to use the dpad this time around. Been intensely playing brutal mode and the l1, r1, r2 configuration doesn't cut it anymore, can't do it. Not to mention it's going to be really awkward with the ps3/ps4 triggers.

when can we expect another livestream? i was going to say a 24 hour stream but we only have under 45K left. so 6 hour mark? get the party started and a chat after its funded tomorrow.

Wow, didn't think they would pull it off. Well, it ain't over, but I think it's pretty clear that they will reach their goal. By the time it ends it could be at 900k, who knows, at this rate anything can happen.

Something about that wouldn't sit right with me - using a Kickstarter campaign funded by regular people to prop up their console. Unless they just pay tribute to it and commend the campaign and Harmonix. But I wouldnt want to see it be used to sell their brand when they didn't fund it
Nothing wrong with that, a list of indie games that mentions this game benefits both parties and it seems to be standard practice for Sony at the moment.

It's not as if Sony aren't involved in it, it's their franchise and their game and unless Harmonix already have the contract they're still within their rights to not let this happen.

It wouldn't make any sense but Amplitude is still Sony's game and it won't happen without them.

Over $733,000 now...so close, I think it might kill me if it didn't happen!!!

They feature games "backed" by large corporations, half a dozen people, and the whole gamut between the two.

Why not something backed by 10,000+ people? It can only help the game. I see absolutely nothing wrong with this.
