nobody wants to play space uncharted mmo? now is the best time to learn how to play when its new and its not too crowded, I got lucky and my base started far from any major players so I've been building since thursday without being invaded so far.

they say its coming for iphone in november and its cross platform with android so maybe ios gaf will play since you guys are ignoring me.
I tried it and didn't understand how it works.

Edit: Watched the video, tried to play. Crashes constantly.

watch the tutorial: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8hRp2_7L5DI&feature=player_embedded

but still the learning curve is STEEP. that tutorial isnt enough. I've already realized I did my building and mining strategy all wrong and wasted days of playing time and I'm just lucky nobody invaded and wiped me out.

the forum can help:

http://forum.spaceuncharted.com/index.php

some of the strategy other players give doesnt help so much for noobs... they say to focus on trading with other players instead of mining but that only works if you are allied with other players that know how to trade and you are close to them so your transports can trade without being attacked by enemies.

err theres a ton more... like I said its confusing at first.

right now I'm building mines to lvl 3 and warehouses to lvl 2 and using tranports to move resources from my mining planets to my ship builder planets on a loop.

works fine for me on droid 1..what are you using?

anybody that seriously wants to play space uncharted as a gaf alliance or something make a community thread for it here because I cant make threads:

http://www.neogaf.com/forum/forumdisplay.php?f=8

if somebody makes a thread I'll post tips on how to get started and how not to fuck up and waste hours and hours like I did.

i know it's old, but i just read max payne is going to have controller support. that means GTA3 will probably have it as well.

now that's something i approve of.

i don't really know of any games that do, except for emulators really.

I am playing Pocket League Story Lite. The game sometimes lose the background music and will only come back on if I mute and unmute the volume OR enter a match. Is that just me

Fan-freakin-tastic!!!

Also about Shadowgun, it's a shame but one of the many reasons I'll be upgrading to a Kal-el based chipset if nvidia includes backwards compatibility with Tegra 2 games.

This Tegra / Adreno GPU fragmentation is really getting out of hand. It's like buying a game made only for NVidia cards on the PC. I really don't see why the GPU even matters so long as they adhere strictly to the OpenGL ES API.

Just download Chainfire 3D, play Tegra games on your Galaxy S2 with better performance, even after forcing 4xmsaa. :)

Just downloaded Shadowgun. Rings at a locked 30fps with 4xmsaa on my Galaxy S 2. Really shows what the Mali 400 can do, this is clearly just touching the surface.

Edit: Been playing it with my zeemote for movement and shooting and the touchpad for aiming, works and controls really well. In all honestly it's better than a dual analogue setup.

I'll be getting my first android phone and I'm leaning towards the galaxy note. I know its a bit too big but it sort of bridges the gap between tablets and phones, which is what I need so I can take it on the go with me.

Now my question is, will the higher screen resolution (1280x800 I believe) hamper game performance?

Maybe, but it has a more powerful GPU than the Android tablets that use that resolution, and Android doesn't have that many performance demanding games anyway.

Playing pocket league story destroys my GS2's battery, which sucks because as anyone who has played a kairosoft game knows, its addictive as hell. Its enough where I only play it at home. It makes me wonder why to because visually there isn't much going on.

This is one of many reasons I so rarely play mobile games. I don't care if my 3DS dies on me but my phone, no way! How will I listen to podcasts on my commute?!

For some reason I've had that problem with all the Kairosoft games =/

Definitely one of the best looking games on my phone. Amazing water effects, the tilting takes a bit of getting used to but getting better at it with each race

Birrzle got an update and is finally running stable on my SGS-II. Too bad it doesn't have achievments, that game would make the best use of them.

A fantastic free puzzler, check it out if you haven't already.

Is there a way to change the "Accept | Reject Calls" when someone is calling you ?

Like you just need to touch it instead of swiping it.

File size is too large to download on a Galaxy S (30MB limit on Android Marketplace downloads).

I fixed the download issue with my Samsung Infuse by uninstalling the updates to the android store. It reverts the store to a hilariously ugly interface, but I was at least able download it with no issues.
