Strikefleet is indeed amazing! Thanks for posting it
Yeah, I'm really enjoying it. I've managed to not have to spend any cash on playing it just yet, but I probably will to unlock some of the nicer ships.

I just did the sums and to buy all the ships I could buy at the moment (which I believe are all those remaining to be unlocked, but I'm only at level 9 so there may be an additional class to unlock) would cost 225 credits. Funnily enough that's exactly how many credits you get for $9.95 :-)

So, is the full game worth $9.95 to me? Probably...

OK, I'm a little pissed now. I dropped the $10 on the game and yeah, you can buy those expensive ships...

To upgrade them you need to spend extra credits, which you need to buy with cash.

To warp them into the game they have a higher cost.

Hmm. At this point it's hard to tell what the total cash outlay might be if you wanted to buy them all and beef them up...

This is a great game, but I really hate freemium games like this.

Has anyone tried out those RTS/DoTA style games Plant Wars or Legendary Heroes?

EDIT: you guys suck, why didn't anyone ever mention this game once in this thread?

Plant Wars is amazing (it's a freemium game, but w/e...guilty pleasure)

One of the best Android games I've played because it's quick, simple to control, runs very smoothly, and it's very strategic and addictive.

I'll try Legendary heroes sometime later

Further to this - the ships you get without spending actual cash eventually stop being upgradeable and you need to spend cash to upgrade them. Grr.

I'm ok with the freemium model Strikefleet implemented - I just cleared all the available levels without spending real cash and I don't feel the game "gimmicks" me into spending.

It's a needed alternative for developers to get exposure while still having higher revenue ceilings, imo consumers need to shift their perspective.

Hope they come out with some new stages!

OK, I must just suck :-) The PPC Gunship makes a few harder levels much, much easier. All the other ships I bought are pretty much unused though.

Broken Sword: The Shadow of the Templars Directors Cut is finally out on Android, for $3.99.

Broken Sword: The Director’s Cut on Android is the most polished version to date, boasting its highest resolution visuals on phone or tablet. The game includes many unique features including a digital version of ‘Watchman’ co-creator Dave Gibbons’s collector’s comic, detailing the events which lead up to the explosive first scene.”

Nice to see Google is taking on to deal with the 'piracy' problem, without taking away the freedom the system intended to have =)

Should make the ecosystem more attractive to developers. Now we can just hope more developers also start to do the porting in house.

Are there any proper econ sims on Android? While I like Kairosoft games they're more like back-patting simulators than econ sims and most other games that go in that direction are just weak fronts for selling you IAP currency.

Already have this garbage game for DS, not getting fooled again.

that bad? metacritic scores of both ds and iphone/pad version is pretty decent...

I would get it when my nexus 7's here.

general question, is there anyway to harmonise your game saves across tab and phone? I still find game saves on android is painfully lacking, even with root.

It is fine. The end dungeon is an absolute joke though. No save points and way hard. I died at the end boss, and rather than playing through 2 hours of dungeons all over again, just quit.

hi friends!

have a look at our games:

Nosferatu - Run from the Sun (F2P Endless Runner)

Puppy's Plaything Free
(the free version of our newest game - a puzzle game, 3D Graphics and cool gameplay)

Puppy's Plaything
(1€ for the full game, see above)

we just recently started with taking our games to Android, so especially with Nosferatu there could still be some bugs (we only have one test device - we are still a small studio and earn just enough to pay our meager loans :) ), but on most phones it'll work just fine.

two of the above games are free, so you loose nothing by checking them out. Nosferatu has quite a fanbase on iOS (4.5 iTunes rating) and people on Android seem to have fun with it, too (4.4 rating)!

Enjoy!

The way I would assume it works is to create a titanium backup (or whatever other backup you use) of that app and its data. Then reload it on the device. I believe that will work. I don't know if moving to a new device fucks something up though.

Plays at 60 FPS. Bot support. A bunch of servers up.

Droid Does:

Couldn't you just use USB OTG to connect a PS3 controller to this?

What are some graphics-intensive games that take advantage of my tablet? I got a tf300 and don't really know what would benefit from it. It came with Shadowgun THD since I bought it at gamestop, but other than that I don't have anything other than really crappy looking free games for time wasting.

Tegra 3? Then Tegra Zone is where you want to go. Also, Nova 3.

Btw, I don't respond for the quality of the actual games. :P

Thanks so much, a moba for my cell. Eff yeah!!! Let's see how brutally freemium it is.... *grumble*
I'd gladly pay 5 bucks if this gets me a full game instead of this business model.
