it's a Snapdragon S4 SoC, just with 4 cores instead of 2.So this is a quadcore A9X4 chip from Qualcomm? Since it comes out after Snapdragon S4 I assume its faster? Is this going to be called S5?

except for post sales support

So long as there's community support, I'm good. Post sales support for the less technically inclined is a must though.
Just saw an update go by at work. Apparently, to go along with the cancelling of the Skyrocket HD, the regular GSII (i777) is now EOL as well. Clearing the way for the GSIII next month?? Seems likely.
well look at that, they really are going to get it over here soon

Will SuperOneClick root an ICS device? My rooted Galaxy SII Skyrocket is get an OTA ICS update... but I'm worried if I confirm, I won't be able to re-root once the update is done.
Halp?

After AT&T locked down bootloaders on their HTC One X, it seemed like a bad omen for potential HTC customers on other carriers that like to tinker around with their devices. Well, if you were worried that about the HTC EVO 4G LTE receiving similar treatment, it looks like Sprint isnt imposing the same restrictions as AT&T has. According to AndroidCentral, The LTEvo is currently supported by HTCDevs bootloader unlock tool, and users (if they so choose) can unlock their devices and get some root all up innit.
Only problem, when it comes to HTCs unlock method, thats about all you can get. To clarify, the bootloader unlock tool wont give a device S-Off functionality. HTC has actually gone through great lengths to ensure that all the fun stuff that comes with what I like to call, full root flashing AOSP ROMs, kernels, deleting bloatware, custom recoveries, etc. cannot be done by traditional methods (flashing zips from recovery for instance), but have to be done using the PC (thanks, Earl!). So, for those hoping to run custom AOSP ROMs like CyanogenMod and AOKP or MIUI, you will just have to wait until a full root method can be found and exploited. Considering how development for the HTC One X has been making ground, Id say those chances are looking pretty good. Its not much, but its a step. The cat and mouse game continues
So, I'm testing out some ICS ROMs for the i9000 and I don't know which one to choose!
Should I stick with the CM9 Nightlies or stay with Slim ICS?
I need it to be as stable as possible (so no sleep screens of death or random reboots).
Help me Android-Gaf! I'm leaving my beloved and stable GB MIUI :'(
You sure about that? I have a Skyrocket as my work phone, and the current OTA release software is 2.3.6 (LA3).
isn't there a stable build, like a RC or beta?
the nightlies aren't always stable.
right now i'm about ot update from CM9 beta 2 to CM9 beta 3 on my SGS1 Epic 4G
While other companies are gimping their OSes and converting computers to appliances, Android is turning furniture into computers.

I am about to get rid of the Galaxy Nexus and get the att One X.
anyone done the same and made the switch.
hows the reception compare to the gnex?
seem like the One x is superior in every way compare to the gnex.
its a temporary phone till the GS3 comes out.
Is...is that...the Evo?
One X has Sense. How about no.
GSIII looks like a nice spec bump from GSII and Nexus but it also has Touch Wiz.

Ah...I knew Sprint wasn't that damn good.no, it's my Samsung Epic 4G running CM9 Beta 3

Hmmm...I wonder what this OTA is then. :\
what an utterly useless tool, don't understand why HTC feels it's important for them to do this.High Tech Computer Corporation

After hopping around for a while I stuck with ELITE I suggest sticking to CM9 if its stable for you though. Elite has not let me down yet so no intention of changing, slim pics was a bit slow. There are some that claimm o be "stable", but they all come with a bunch of BS that I don't need. I tried out Slim ICS for a bit and I wasn't a fan of it, so now I'm on the CM nightly (which is running surprisingly well).
What's the best browser with tabs? I can't stand the stock and Chrome browsersI'm gonna give Opera a try. Hopefully that's better.
Also is there any way to display more dates and stuff on the stock calendar widget?
I've always used Dolphin, though it seems like it can bog things down a bit if your phone is underpowered.
Bad stock browser? Wat.
Enable quick controls and using tabs is painless.

It's pretty terrible for me, because I'm used to the MIUI browser, which had both tabs and the address bar. Bookmarks were also a click away.

Firefox is finally getting close to being a contender. Once the tech in the current nightly hits stable it will at least be in the same ballpark as Chrome.
So apparently the keyboard docks between the OG transformer and the Padfone work with each other.
