Sapkowski refers in some way to the lore provided by CD Projekt? new schools/Witchers are introduced?
One major thing that is referenced is viper's school medallion. It might be accidental pick on Sapkowski's end, but majority of readers took it as a nod to Letho and assassins from Witcher 1 outro and Witcher 2

There is a new witcher who wasn't previously featured, a bit more of new lore about wolf and cat schools and witchers in general. You also learn what truly happened during massacre at Kaer Morhen a while back. But overall this book is very low-scale and 95% of it takes place in a single kingdom (Kaedwen) in locations that weren't featured in any Witcher games

Thanks for the clarification.

So Sapokowski has really put his pride aside if he makes the school of the viper canon. Interesting stuff. I was a bit worried that being set mainly in one kingdom would make the book a bit filler and unimportant. But apparently the feedback seems good. Not a huge masterpiece but a good Witcher book, from what I understand.

how can you read it if it's not in english?

Yeah, Raven's Crossroads or however this book will be titled in English is much better than Season of Storms. While Season of Storms felt more like a filler, this book feels more like a proper prequel that not only capture similar vibes to short stories, but also adds a lot to worldbuilding and lore. Kaedwen is also quite neat setting, it's very different from other kingdoms in Northern Realms with its multiple marches that are ruled by margraves. Story is focused on young Geralt who just left Kaer Morhen and learns the ropes of the witcher work and what it is to be a witcher. He's not yet Geralt of Rivia, at this point in time he's just Geralt, a youngling who is in a prime physical form, but is unexperienced, very naive and has to learn from his mistakes, making first steps towards becoming the witcher we meet later in the timeline

Checked a bit on the info related to the book and wouldn't you know - Sapkowski is already writing a new book:

He said three-four years wait is "safe enough".

GRRM right now:

Nervous The Big Bang Theory GIF
Throw Patrick Rothfuss (The Name of the Wind & The Wise Man's Fear) in there as well. When March 1st 2025 rolls around we'll have been waiting 14 years for book 3.
For some reason, Amazon.co.uk allows you to write reviews for a product that hasn't been released yet and people are piling on. It's currently 1.9/5 stars. People are sick of his excuses.
I can't decide if this is funny or sad.

Either way... I'll be buying Sapkowski's book as soon as it hits UK stores.
